Extended Notifications for Blaze

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

More notifications are here!

You can now receive notifications from email and other apps on your Blaze! Common emojis are also supported. Please keep in mind that you will need to have the latest Fitbit app version as well as the latest Blaze firmware update (17.8.301.7).

Using Notifications:

When you receive a notification, your Fitbit Blaze vibrates. Depending on the type of notification and your mobile device's operating system, the following information may appear on your screen:

  • Phone call—Caller's name, if in the contacts list on your mobile device, or phone number.
  • Text message—Sender's name (if in your phone's contacts) or phone number, and the contents of the text message.
  • Calendar event—Name, location, and time of the event.
  • Email—Sender’s name, subject, and contents of the message.
  • App notification—App name and contents of the message. App-specific icons may also be displayed.

Keep in mind your tracker can only display notifications from third-party apps if you already receive notifications from these apps on your paired iOS or Android mobile device. Make sure notifications are turned on for these apps in your mobile device's settings, and in your Blaze's device settings.

You can see all your notifications by swiping up from the home screen. You'll see previous calls, texts, calendar, email, and app notifications as well. You may delete these notifications either individually by swiping right, or all at once by scrolling down and tapping "Clear All" on the display.

Thanks, yes I know. Someone earlier asked about the Surge. If I remember
correctly. Maybe I didn't reply properly, but I'm new to these forums.

Hi @AndrewFitbit,

I'm hoping you can help.

I am looking at the Fitbit Blaze, but a lot of my work and personal conversations take place via whatsapp and I am looking effectivly for a smart watch that has the advanced fitness capabilities of Fitbit products.

I've seen news about the new releases of the notificatoins of third party Apps to the Blaze, but wanted to try and confirm, as there is a lot of confusing posts in this thread, whether using an iPhone (iOS) will allow the Blaze to recieve the Whatsapp notofcations?

I appreciate this may well be once all the firmware and updates are released, but will play a big part in me deciding to chose a Fitbit Blazeover the Apple Watch Series 2.

Thanks in advance

I just spoke to customer service and they took me through a series of
rebooting the watch, turning off the notifications and rebooting my phone.
I got all my notifications back.

@Tyronn skim through some of the previous posts, your not the only one and I also noticed that once an app is picked you can't keep it off.
I've tried clearing data logging back in, removing the app, it just comes back.

I am having the exact same issue, with all notifications working except for call notifications (and the test notification, which is a call notification).  The call notifications used to work.  Any help here would be appreciated.

the Blaze with its GPS is too Gigantic to use 24/7 like my Charge HR, wish my fitbit would shake me when I have a calendar appointment

Best Answer

@mjdon under 'general', then 'notifications' - you can add 'calendar events' 😊

My Blaze does indeed vibrate when I have a calendar appt. ✔

Yep, the Blaze is awesome, but I have the Charge HR which doesn't have that function.  I'm considering  upgrading but the Blaze seems  big and bulky to sleep with

@mjdon I've been using my Blaze for about a year now, and I absolutely love it!!! I've heard stories of Fitbit possibly launching a 'Blaze 2'....so, if you're considering the Blaze, I'd encourage you to check into that possibility too. 😊

@Hazelmommy there is roumors of a future fitbit, and they even posted a code name. Now if there is any truth to the roumers it will not be a charge 2, it will be a class fitbit has not ventured into yet.
