Fitbit Blaze not charging

I just got my Blaze. The set up was fine until I started charging it. The battery icon never showed on the screen. I also have a Charge and it charged using the same computer an hour before. Anyone have a problem charging the Blaze?

All I see is the fitbit icon and website nothing else and I have tried via my laptop and adaptive fast charger.  Please help or I can take it back to Costco this week and get a Samsung.

I only had the Fitbit logo until it was setup.  Ironically you can't set it up until it is charged.  I charged mine overnight and was able to set it up in the morning.  It took longer to charge than they say.  If you have already tried charging it and you still can't set it up, maybe it's defective.    Marie Bartolotta

Thank you for your quick reply. I will try overnight, but I'm guessing this one is defective. Bummer.

I don't understand that logic. I have mine and the battery is low. So I can't set it up if it is low. Why doesn't the battery icon show? This should not be that difficult to charge. I opened the box, went to set it up, software said the battery is low, so I go to charge it. I can't charge it because the battery icon does not show.

It will charge even though the battery icon doesn't show.  Then you can set it up.  I agree.  It doesn't make sense but that's how it works. Marie Bartolotta

Thanks but I am going to return this. I mean really, you have to take it
out of the band, then take it out of the holder just to charge it? They
couldn't come up with a simpler way of charging this like Apple does? It is
an inconvenience and since this thing is still stuck on setup and then I go
in and it says on the app. that the battery is too low, its not worth it.

I just received my Blaze today and have it plugged into my computer.  No vibration or charging icon when plugged in.  Tried a wall unit as well, still displayed fitbit setup face. My computer does make a noise when the Blaze is locked into the charger, so I've kept it plugged int. I have had it plugged in for 30+ minutes and am still unable to update the blaze due to a "low charge".   Very frustrating.

You are able to update the device if you have it in the charger. After it updates it will charge normally. Hope this helps! Its not broken, just the order of things.

@Jtantorres if your computer is a MAC or Win 10, you can setup the Blaze through its charging cable.

@Jtantorres is correct in that the tracker is charging.

I just opened my brand new blaze, put it in the charger cradle, plugged it in to the computer  and nothing. I can't get the battery icon to show up, only the fit bit logo. I am honestly so annoyed as my previous fit bit wouldn't hold a charge at all. I was optimistic and excited with this new purchase and am once again so very disappointed

As explained above @norbyknight you won't see a charge icon until the tracker is setup.

Did it vibrate when plugging it in? If so it is charging

it took me 3 different watches before i finally got one to work.  that one eventually worked by doing it through my cell phone rather than my computer.  you might try that for syncing so that it will accept a charge.

Thank you. It did not vibrate when it was plugged in. There is a connection sound from my computer when it is plugged in initially and then the fitbit logo on the fitbit screen. However it is now just black and has been plugged in for 5 hours. My app says the fitbit battery is still too low to do the update/set up

Thank you! Did you feel like it was a bad product or that it was a user issue with the charge method?

Can anyone help please. My blaze only works whilst in the charger, and as soon as I take it out it goes completely dead. Can't turn it on, and can't reset it. I have managed to set it up though, but only whilst in the charger. Any ideas?

I don't think there is anything that can be done. I have given up on
fitbit and moved to garnin.

They are poor quality, often faulty and unreliable. I had four Blazes in
the space of a year and they same issue kept happening. Wouldn't charge,
wouldn't sync, wouldn't track heart rate. Fitbit kept sending replacements
with the same issues and I had had enough

Thank you! I love my garmin for running and was really hoping the Fitbit would be a great all day tracker/motivator. I tried charging all night and still nothing. Shipping it back for a replacement today
