Fitbit Blaze receives multiple text notifications

Hello everyone, I have a LG V10 and have just received the Fitbit Blaze.  I'm having trouble with the mulitiple text messages that is being sent to my phone.  Even if I delete the messages from my Blaze it will send the same message at least 3 to 4 extra times.  On my phone I am using Go Sms Pro as my default messaging app and have never had an issue with it before.  Is there anyone else that is currently having this issue....please help.

I actually had the same problem. Only one alert, but Fitbit decided to remind multiple times, which drove me crazy. It actually only happened on few notifications, not all, and I couldn't figure out what was it.

 

I am using iPhone 6.

Me too and only seems to happen on calendar.

I have the same problem on my Blaze that I just got today because it's my birthday. Great birthday present but I get two notifications for every message I get. It's really annoying. I have a Nexus 6P using the Textra messaging app.

I am receiving 2 or more duplicates on my Fitbit Blaze too, am also using the Go Sms Pro messaging app as it is my favorite messages app. I hate the stock sms apps... anyway, it is a bit annoying, every text that comes through on my Blaze is duplicated. It has even sent me a notification twice that I have two new messages. I read every message, either on my Blaze or on the phone, depending if I have my phone in my hand or it is out of my reach. I wonder if Fitbit will let us know if it is a bug and that they are looking into it to get it fixed for the next fitbit update. I haven't had mine for long, only four days, but I love it. The first one I bought, the screen had a fault, so fitbit replaced it after having to explain to them several times that it wouldn't turn on and that I tried the troubleshoot and tried charging it and the last sync was thursday night at 7:34 pm. They sent me the replacement blaze face anyway, and now am just having this duplicate message issue. Hope they can fix it soon.

I am having the same issue with my new fitbit Blaze and my LG v10 using the Verizon message+ protocol. performed a reset, no improvement. called customer service and was walked through another reset and turning bluetooth services off and on, still no improvement. I am receiving my messages 3-6times on the fitbit. Customer service stated this is a known issue and was offered no other advice or anything, only that there may be an update released at some point, possibly.

Having the same trouble with my Verizon Note 4 using Message+. 2-3 duplicate txt everytime. Com'on FB! Get ur 'ish together...

For those getting duplicates onto their Blaze from Message+, you may want to check a setting.

FWIW-  In Message+ settings, there is actually a reminder setting that issue reminder notifications if the message hasn't been cleared on the phone / tablet. You can change it to zero  (off / no reminders).

I use GoSMS pro and have the same problem. I receive 3 to 4 notification for the same message. Aggravating but can deal with it.

I have repeat notifications on my Blaze from Business Calender on my Note 4.

 

Is there now a fix for this? Seems like it's been a problem for awhile now...

I am currently on hold - been on the phone with their help desk for 20 minutes basically just restarting everything possible and all for naught. I am still receiving multiples of every notification.

Has anyone found a solution for this issue? Is Fitbit working on a firmware update to resolve this? 

 

 I receive multiple notifications on my  Fitbit Blaze for any/all types of supported notifications. That includes calendar items, texts (I do see the complete message), reminder/tasks, driving mode, and others. I had been getting 2 copies of every text showing up on the Blaze, but today a few miniutes later I got an additional double shot of the same message.

Not sure why but when my fit bit busted and was replaced and I added it back in the fit bit app I now only get one notification as intended.

Install the free app called FIT NOTIFICATIONS and you get all kinds of notifications running smoothly 👍

Tried that app and I still get mutliple text messages 😞 Oh well. I just turned the text notifications off.

Seems like many samsung phones are having problem with sms notifications. Have you tried to use Google messenger or Hangouts as your sms viewer?

I see this is an older thread but I'm still having the same problem reported by many here. This is a relatively new bug, wasn't happening the first few months I had my Blaze. Using Verizon Samsung Note 4 and Verizon Message + as default text app. Fitbit please respond!
