What determined it was fixed. Was there an indicator you were done rebooting?

My charge 2 is not tracking sleep stages also since 24 december 2018!! This must be a bug.
- i have restarted my charge 2 three times
- i have restarted my phone several times
- i used my right wrist and left wrist
- i used it different positions on wrist
- i gave to my girlfriend for a few nights
This must be a bug, so FitBit please find a solution!!

Did it work for your girlfriend when she wore it? Has she one of her own that works fine for her? Does hers work for you?
Have you had a checkup of your heart lately? Several people have related this to the fact that theirs didn't work due to heart issues they didn't know they had. Once those were resolved they started working again. Nothing else changed.
Since many apparently healthy children in the Western world have fatty streaks in the aorta by the age of 10, an early sign of atherosclerosis (heart disease), it's not impossible that a lot of adults are walking around with heat disease without knowing. Several people on this thread have suggested getting a thorough check by a cardiologist if you are not getting sleep stages. It might be an early sign of heart issues. Enough people (most wearers) are regularly getting sleep stages that it's unlikely to be a bug.

She does not have her own. And mine dis not work also on her wrist.
the heart monitor works fine, the only problem is the sleep stages.

Just wanted to give an update on my post a week or so ago, after 12 straight days of getting Sleep Stages ( an all time record for me for) it has now been 6 straight days with no Sleep Stages. Have done nothing different in these past 18 days.

After 20 days no sleep stages it was a surprise that the stages work again. What i did? I dont know, only diffferent thing i remember was dat i charged the battery for more than 1 hour, because i was forgotten to wear it. The next morning i had sleep stages again.....

Fitbit customer service told me today that they will no longer replace units, even those within the one year warranty, for issues with tracking sleep. My Charge 2 sleep stage states no heart beat detected and unable to monitor sleep. My previous Charge 2 never had a problem. This new one I got in August has had continued problems and I get absolutely no assistance from Customer Service other than to say reset the device. In the beginning I got two separate sleep readings that flashed back and forth. I started having continued problems after my Charge two would not reset itself 11/30/18 and kept counting from previous days. A month later I am back to no sleep tracking at all. I called today to report the problem and was asked to hold while my purchase date was verified. 20 minutes later a pretend supervisor comes on the line and asks how she can help me. I explained I was waiting to get my insurance dates verified and start a replacement request. I asked the rep is she was aware of why I called in and said "yes" and asked me to repeat the issues. After that I was told they would not replace because I was having 2 separate issues and that the sleep stages not being monitored was not a covered issue, giving various ridiculous reasons. I asked for a manager and was refused, I asked for the CEO's contact information and was refused. I got this 2nd device through Real Appeal with my insurance. I will be providing a full overview on Fitbit refusing to honor it's warranty. Let's see how that impacts their bottom line given the Fitbit trackers are used as incentive for being on the insurance's wellness program. Way to go Fitbit - mess with the customer, the business, the insurance company and 3rd party supporting the purchase of your product. Can anyone say APPLE..

When you say it took three resets did you mean that it took three times on the charger with pushing the button

My charge 2 did not record my sleep last night, but recorded my heart rate, does that mean I did not sleep long enough for it to register?

Not sure who your question was directed to, but yes a reset involves placing the unit on the charger and holding down the button until the Fitbit resets itself.

I still think Fitbit has software issues with the sleep stages. However, for what it's worth, here's what happened to me. I have a Charge 2 and a few months ago the original rubberized band fell apart. I bought a mesh band with magnetic catch on Amazon. It fits better, doesn't irritate my skin, is better looking, and is much more comfortable. And I get my sleep stages every night ......

My fitbit did not track my sleep again.
I did restart the fitbit 3 times (fitbit in charger and hold down the button and it wil restart)
after that i let it charges for e few hours.
it did not track again.
then i disconnect the fitbit by setting off my bluetooth on iphone and did update the fitbit app. Then i did connect.
that night it started tracking again!
But for how long i dont know.
This gives me no trust for fitbit, i wanted to buy fitbit watch but i wont buy it now.
check TicWatch Pro, its an amazing watch! Think i will but that one!

its striking That FitBit still didnt react on us..
BUT
Its now the 4th time My FITBIT stoped tracking sleep stages. I again did the same as i wrote early.
-disconnect fitbit from your phone
-put FitBit in charger
-reset fitbit 5 times
-let the fitbit charge for 2-3 hours
-connect your phone
this worked several times for me.
good luck!

Personally, I'm going to fool with this for just a couple more tries then it's back to the store. I purchased it for the sleeping, not the watch.
