How to stop add card notification?

Anyone has experienced how to stop the notification to add card in Charge 5?  I don’t intend to activate card in Charge 5 wallet, and it becomes annoying this notification prompts each time we sync the device.

This is the worst answer of all time.  Mine is not doing it but my wife's is.  I said if it starts on mine I'll throw the **ahem** in the trash and get an IWatch!

I had two issues, quick battery draining (about an hour from fully charged to dead).  I walked through the process with the support team and eventually got a replacement.  Now, specific to this thread of the annoying 'Add Card' notification, disabling the wallet as advised did nothing.

Now the good news:  I hope I'm not jinxing myself but 'Add Card' seemed to go away after I did a 'Restart Device' via the 'Settings' menu on the device itself.  For all I know it was coincidental, but I thought I'd share this anyway in case it helps someone.

Thanks, but we have restarted it and it is still occurring.

There has been no fix. It’s absurdly annoying being pestered every few minutes to add a card. The charge 5 is possibly the worst purchase of 2022 for me. Nothing but issues.

Hi everyone, and welcome to all the new users in the Community.

I'm sorry to see that many of you are still experiencing this problem with your Charge 5. Thanks for sharing all your feedback.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, this information has been shared with the team so they can look into it, but there are no other news for the moment. It seems that some users have been able to disable the notification by deactivating Fitbit Pay from the Fitbit app or by restarting the device. If you already tried these options, I also recommend that you also get in touch with the Customer Support team so they can let you know if there are any options available for you.

You can click here to get connected to chat with them or to call them directly.

Is there an update to this best answer?  My Charge 5 started to have this issue today and it renders the device virtually unusable, particularly as it has coincided with a rapid battery drain.  Fully charged this morning at around 11am and down to12% by 5pm

Exactly what happened to my wife's unit.  Battery does not even last all day and NO the GPS is NOT on!  Had enough FitBit and their short lived products!

Has this been fixed?? It’s getting very annoying.

It just started for me today, when I updated the app on my phone. Not sure if it's related. It's notifying me about every 5 to 10 minutes now, to the point where it may be un-usable (especially if it does this at night!)

Hey moderator, are there any updates, please & thanks? I've tried all the steps: re-starting the Charge 5 from the user interface & from the charging cable and deleting/reinstalling the app. Others have reported that wiping the Charge 5 (removing all data) doesn't help. Please help, thanks!

Mines doing the same so annoying!!!!

Is there any updates to a fix. Mine started doing it a few days ago and notification pops up and vibrates all day, I can’t handle it anymore

Get on the chat and tell them immediately. They’ll try to make you reset this that and the other. Don’t let them go until you’ve done all of it. It doesn’t work. Demand a replacement.

Add me to the list.  Just started doing this Feb 3.  If they can't fix this, I'm done with Google products.

Add another to the list.  My charge 5 was perfect for 14mo.  It works great except it just started asking me to "add a card".  This notification (every 10 min) vibrates and eats up the battery.  I've tried resetting, and removing fitbit pay from account. No change.  Let us reload firmware or remove wallet from the charge 5???   Help?

Change your screen wake setting to  "manual".  The battery will last about 12 hours.  I'll bet apple never has these problems,

Any updates on this?  My Fitbit is un-usable at this point. I am getting a notification every 5 seconds and it drains my battery so quickly that it is dead everyday by the time I get home from work. I have only had it for 6 months.  I want my money back!!!

I went through all the steps listed to reslove this and nothing worked.  I spoke with Fitbit and they sent me a new Charge 5 without any questions.  I still get the notification but only when I sync it.  I have not done any updates even though it shows that an update is available, I'm thinking that if I update it it will go back to asking to add a card every 10 seconds again.

Hopefully they come up with something soon.

Mine has now started doing this and I can’t wear it as the notification just keeps going

I did all the steps I read in here and it actually got worse..it is constant. Ugh!!!

It did not work for me push that by accident. This is becoming a problem something needs to be done.

Was having the same problem decided to just forget the device from the option screen and repair the device as if it were new and it’s stopped for the time being. We’ll see what happens.

Well, when my wife's unit stopped asking about the CC it went to the draining battery in less than a day mode, or this thread: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-5/Charge-5-battery-drain/m-p/5323784#M33688

I was able to fix it for myself I haven’t had any problems since I did
this..

Go to Bluetooth and forget the device for the charge 5..
Then go to Fitbit settings and go to set up a device as if you were pairing
a brand new charge 5..

Hopefully I won’t have this problem again, but you never know. I hope this
helps.

Yeah, so I pushed best answer by accident. Everybody keeps sending stuff to my email. you cannot rescind the input once it’s been pushed.

Okay so I’ll try my best to help because I had this same problem.. i’ve
answered this before somewhere but for some reason I can’t seem to find it
in the community chat.
what I will say is different things work for
different people, so this may not work I’m just giving you guys what worked for me.
At first I did what most people suggested and I went into my iPhone
Bluetooth and pushed forget device. Then I went back into the Fitbit app
and set up my Fitbit as if it were a brand new Fitbit, so I went in and
push set up new device. Once I did that I didn’t have any problems for
about 2 1/2 months.

But then it happened again and it was constant so what I decided to do was
actually go in the app hit the profile icon at the top left. Down at the
fourth line push Charge 5 and go into the Wallet as if your going to set up
credit card for payment and then after that back out completely, and never
set it up. I haven’t had the problem ever since.. I guess me actually going
into the Wallet to try to set it up did something I’m not sure, but I’ll
take it.

As I said before, this is what works for me, it may not work for you, but I
was so fed up that I would try anything. And as I said as well, unless
somebody gives me a Fitbit as a gift, I will not be purchasing one ever
again. especially if they’re not going to replace it after an ongoing
issue.. If only  Apple Watch had heart Zone minutes..😌

My Charge 5 started doing this today 21 Feb 23. FWIW.

Update: my C5 is now dead. That's fast.
