Same here…so disappointed that the battery draining issue is not resolved. It was suggested to me to take it back to the retailer where I purchased it as most are aware of the problem and know that the ‘fix’ ie firmware update is not addressing the issue for most. Unfortunately my starting acting up after the window to return to Fitbit.

Same. Plus If I swap up and down, it will give me a black screen.

Lucky you. Maybe the purchase window has something to do with it. I have had no luck with customer service or implementing all the tips.

Please fix the battery drain. My Charge worked perfectly before this update. Now the battery drains.
I did the resets, have the dim screen, set it to manual wake, turned off the GPS…
Why isn’t battery life the most fundamental part of this device?

version 20001.171.50 =
Battery drains
Heart rate doesn't work
Red circle X after about an hour
Uninstalled, reinstalled, 3x button restart, manual time zones vs auto
Etc, etc.
= Doesn't work
Need a rollback, or just throw it away?

It's very very concerning that Fitbit never bothered to comment on the issues that majority of the users are finding.

Same here, until the update I had everything ok.
Since that red circle X, then working for half a day, then got stucked, no stepcount no HR, after restart battery drains in 1 hour, yet still no HR, ecg or other. I also had red led on the bottom, that only went away after it drained my battery
I'm charging my Charge 2(lasted for 4 years) - will use it until they fix the firmware or give me a replacement.

I just wanted to know after I finished updating, I could not scroll left or right, up and down on my fitbit. I have tried to restart using the 3 pulses restart method, but it still can't move. What should I do?

So I'm still having battery issues after doing all these steps. As a way to prove it's not me or my activities or whatever likes to Fitbit blame on the user, I took it off the charger (it immediately went down to 99%), set it down untouched, set a 15 minutes timer on my phone, then checked the battery. It was 90%.
At this point I need compensation.

Thank you!!

Mine updated but still no new watch faces. I’m being told by Fitbit support that even though I have the latest version, not all features will appear until all Fitbit users have updated to the latest firmware. Does this make sense to anyone?? Each device is an individual item, how does other peoples trackers relate to mine? Would love a logical explanation!

Totally have the same issue and I want compensation for having a watch for 5 months and half of that time it being unusable. Their lack of commitment to sorting this correctly is just beyond me!!
Anyone at Fitbit going to come up with a solution??

I updated my Charge 5 last night; it took about 20 minutes and worked flawlessly. Everything is working fine and I have not had any increase in battery usage. The "Find My Phone" feature works great. Biggest disappointment is that there are no new watch faces but hopefully those are coming soon. I'm wondering if the issues many people are having are due to the bluetooth connectivity issues that have been ongoing since last year. If the connection is dropped, the updates may be corrupted on some devices. Just a thought.
