Hello
My Charge 5 stopped logging accurate run distances months ago. I tried numerous fixes but nothing worked. Now I use Mapmy run instead which is pretty annoying but at least it’s accurate. However, to add to this, in the last week my Fitbit has stopped logging tracked activity. I start logging my workouts via the shortcuts on the charge 5 and all appears to track ok but it won’t sync with the app. I’ve tried various fixes but I’m not getting anywhere. The device is now pretty useless. Anyone had similar issues or have any suggestions?

Hello
Mine has just started doing this, logged my workout fine on Thursday and this synced with the app, but on Friday and again today (Sunday) did exactly the same thing and can't get the data to come across. Steps etc are all syncing ok, just no workout data. Sometimes in the past it's not synced any data and the advice online about restarting device etc has always fixed it, but hasn't worked for this issue.
I had a Charge 2 for years which I never had any issues with, until the screen broke. Charge 5 doesn't seem to work as well, I never get low battery notifications despite having them switched on, which I've just given up trying to fix.
I've just tried reinstalling the app and have lost all my workout data now!!

Hello @HelenKenn @christekm1 @Pinkluce
I believe there is currently a problem on the Fitbit side. There have multiple users reporting issues with seeing their exercise data in the Fitbit app.
I looked at the Fitbit Status Dashboard website and saw that there was an issue with the Web API starting around the beginning of September. This impacts data syncing and may be the reason why we're having problems with seeing our exercise data in the Fitbit app. Even though the description mentions "3P" (3rd party) apps, the timing of when this issue started is about the same time that many of us started seeing issues with our exercise data in the Fitbit app. The current status is still showing the Web API issue as of today, 08 Sep 2024. So, they must still be working on fixing the problem.
Please be patient. I'm checking the status daily. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before it's fixed and we see all our exercise data again.

Similar issue here! I see some auto-logged activity in the iOS app, but all of the logging that I've initiated via my charge 5 exercise shortcuts has disappeared. The monthly view seems to still have some record of my total exercise, but it's completely disappeared from the daily view (except for a few auto-logged entries). This has worked fine until a few days ago.

Hi. Similar problem I think. My charge 5 has stopped logging swim & bike data and now data for these activities has been deleted since June. Tracker now useless to me. Very disappointed! Any suggestions please? Thank you.

Hi,
Same thing is happening with my Charge 5 as well. It logged my exercise days, run routes, etc just fine until about 2 weeks ago. I can see that I worked out on the Fitbit itself; however, exercise days, activities, etc. are not being logged on the Fitbit app on my Iphone. I use the charge to track my runs/pace, so unless I immediately recond times/miles via tha Fitbit, I am unable to access any info from the app. The app is recording my steps, etc, just now any of the workout metrics. Please let me know if anyone has any info regarding any fixes, etc. I tried all of the recommended fixes that I could find (un and reinstalling the app, rebooting my phone, etc.), but nothing has worked thus far. It seems that many are having similar problems, so hopefully it's a glitch that can be fixed and get our Fitbit up and running as expected, sooner than later.

Sadly no, thanks for asking. Not fixed & getting worse - now not registering walks! I can't seem to wok out how to contact Fitbit either as I get transferred to Google & don't have (or want) an account?

I am having the same issue. In month view I see there is days I worked out logged but when I click on day/week it shows nothing. I tried to update, refresh Fitbit and the app. Sounds like this is not a know issue but nothing is being done. This is frustrating!!! I have always loved Fitbit but this is annoying. Is there a timeline of when this will be fixed?

Hello @Pinkluce @NattaTatt @AlfieH @Anirudthiru @HelenKenn
I saw a Moderator post today (12 Sep 2024) acknowledging the syncing issues and data transfer errors. He said that the team is working on identifying a resolution as quickly as possible.
For now, there's nothing more that we can do on our side.

Hi. I don't suppose any more news? Anyone been able to contact Fitbit? Dashboard seems to show they only addressing 3rd party App issue?
I can't even log exercise manually now. What ever swim distance I enter App converts to some randomly different number. Bizarrely I resurrected my old Versa Lite & that recorded a bike ride fine although of course it can't do swimming which is why I moved to Charge 5. I'm now on my third 5 for various other issues! I thought maybe this a ruse to get us to upgrade to Charge 6 but that forum seems to be having same issue. If I wasn't close to sobbing this would be hilarious! Any update wrt whether/when this likely fixed greatly appreciated please. I really want to be back on track for holiday next week but it is looking like I'll have to raid the holiday kitty for some other platform solution.... Thanks

Hello @AlfieH
Other than the Moderator post that I mentioned, I haven't seen any updates on this issue.
Although the status dashboard references 3P apps, the Moderator post acknowledged that this bug affects users' exercise data.
I have seen a few users report over the weekend that they were able to see their exercise data but then it disappeared again. That indicates to me that the team is actively working on a solution and that they could be close to fixing the problem for everyone.
I'll report back if I learn of any confirmed updates or timeline for a fix.

I have updated to the newest version of the app and it still will not save manually logged exercise activities. I can add them but as soon as the app syncs with my phone they disappear. I did a weight session yesterday and used my device to start it and stop it, but it was not recorded in the app. This has never happened before. When I manually added it , it disappeared as soon as my app synced with my phone. I hope this is fixed soon or I willl have to go with something else, bummer!
