I left my Apple Watch at home and bought this at the airport. I’ve spent hours trying to get Deezer to work.   What am I supposed to do it’s just stuck at 0%

I saw something on Deezer’s support forum about problems with certificates expiring that they are trying to work out with their partners. A post near the end of the thread mentioned Fitbit. Not sure if this is related or not. I’m having the same problems though. https://en.deezercommunity.com/other-devices-49/security-certificate-issue-on-a-number-of-devices-71...

Hopefully that's not the case considering the fact that this is the only reason I got deezer premium.

Thanks for the link, it contains good information. Hope it gets sorted soon. Fibit, please consider the same music setup as the Ionic has for the sense.

I am having the same issue. Created a playlist in Deezer, went to transfer it to my versa 3 which worked about 3-4 weeks ago.... The watch thinks about synncing and sits at 0% for about 5 seconds then times out. The Fitbit app media settings says the music is on my watch but it hasn't transferred. I have factory reset versa 3, un and re installed Deezer as Fitbit on Android phone. Unlinked and linked my accounts, reset Bluetooth and WiFi... Nothing has worked.

I just cancelled my deezer subscription. Until this issue is resolved I see no reason to continue paying for a service I don't use. I was happily subscribed to apple music which offers a larger catalogue for fewer dollars plus more simultaneous logins at the same time. I am back on apple music. If fitbit doesn't resolve the issue soon they risk losing customers and revenue from their partnership with deezer, not bringing in more. I have wasted enough time troubleshooting what is essentially  poor integration of the two services. And to think I opted for a fitbit instead of the apple watch 3 which was less expensive at the time...

Folks, since the issue is not solved (in contrast to what this thread claims) please vote for the following feature request if not already done: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Music-storage-on-Sense-Versa-3/idc-p/4499528#M25...

Hopefully someone is listening.

Thanks!

When will the license certificate expiry be resolved so I can start using Deezer on my Fitbit Sense again?

My Fitbit app and Versa 3 will not connect to Deezer. Per Deezer's website, "Due to a global security certificate expiration, a number of devices (particularly older devices) have started experiencing connectivity issues between some of our partner’s servers and the Deezer platform. We are contacting our partners to let them know that an update is necessary from their end in order to solve the issue. We thank you for your understanding while we work with our partners to resolve these issues." Is Fitbit addressing this? When will this be updated so that I can access my music?

Same problem with mine.

Can we please have an update on this issue?

Hi there, @NorryD. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums.

To properly address your inquiry, would you mind clarifying what you mean by "When will the license certificate expiry"? What license are you referring to?

In the meantime, I recommend taking a look at this help article How do I listen to Deezer playlists on my Fitbit watch?

Looking forward to your response.

Hello,

This is a known issue with Deezer and other third  party device providers that use the Deezer platform to access music, such as Fitbit, Phillips, Bose etc. A certificate was left to expire meaning certain devices can no longer access Deezer.

I understand this is a known issues with developer's at both Deezer and Fitbit

I note for most devices a firmware update has been released fixing the issue, but nothing yet from Fitbit...

Many thanks

Dave

Fitbit and Deezer both acknowledged an error when trying to upload music to device, this has been a week in my own experience with no resolve and no customer contact, I went through all the motions on live chat ticking off all the self help guides to finally be told it would need to be escalated and will be emailed in due course🤔 still no contact, at the same time I contacted Deezer who said they are aware of an issue and are working on a resolve, for 2 brands as large as they are the level of customer service and lack of resolve is very poor to say the least

Can we please have some feed back on this issue with some detail on the actual problem and a time scale for resolution? I’ve had no music on my Fitbit sense for two weeks now. ☹️☹️ This isn’t good customer service!!

Everyone is having the same issue it seems this started for me last week i think i even removed all the music i currently had on the fitbit thinking maybe it would fix it but it didnt and now I have a deezer premium membership that's about to end and a fitbit with 0 songs on it, I posted about it and theres still no update on the issue hopefully it's fixed soon.

Best Answer

So if, as you say, Deezer is aware of this, and working on resolving the issue. It sounds like it is a Deezer issue, not something fitbit can manage.

I’ve reported with Deezer as well, they have deferred my next payment for 10 days whilst they look to fix the certificate issue with Fitbit. Encourage others to complain to Deezer and look to get some compensation.

Like others, whilst attempting to fix myself, I factory reset my Sense and now have no music. Bloody annoying as now have to take my phone everywhere with me so I can listen to music.

Thank you, I just reported it to them, they havent replied yet but hopefully they do the same. I dont know why it's been so long and the issue isnt fixed not even an update

It looks like Fitbit and Deezer need to communicate and troubleshoot together but that has apparently not happened yet. Deezer says they can’t fix this alone. They said, “We are contacting our partners to let them know that an update is necessary from their end in order to solve the issue.” So Fitbit needs to do some sort of update to get this sorted out as well.
