How do I cancel Fitbit Premium trial?

ANSWERED

On a whim, I clicked on the “try Premium for a week free” box that kept popping up in my Fitbit app (this is just Fitbit Premium, not the Coach thing).

I’m now in the free trial period and would like to cancel before being charged. The only instructions I can find re cancelling direct me to apple - but there is nothing showing up in my appleTV settings regarding this subscription (my others are there, but nothing about Fitbit). The free trial is definitely ongoing since my screens/info have changed in the app.

It’s really very aggravating that it’s been made so difficult to cancel. Could someone please direct me to the right place?

hi I had applied for free premium subscription but since my watch stopped working I could not use the premium features and today I got charged for the premium subscription .

Since my watch is giving issues I will not be able to use the subscription so I kindly request you to cancel my subscription and reverse the subscription fees

THANKS & REGARDS

@PDFitch Thanks for getting back.

If you have been charged for the month, Fitbit Subscriptions are non-refundable. However, you could check with the store that you purchased it from, sometimes they are able to provide refunds.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Hi, I can't cancel my subscription?!

I've searched online and looked at the help suggestions.

There is nothing coming up for my subscriptions in the app on my phone or in the web browser. I got charged despite this.

On top of this fit bit premium NEVER worked for me; It kept saying when I was trying to do "beginners running' that the app wouldn't support it and that it couldn't open. I tried to update the app but couldn't find a newer version. I have screen shots to prove this.

I'm also confused by you saying go back to the shop where you bought the subscription. I clicked the free trial on my phone in the app and I've been back there umpteen times and spent hours trying to sort it and I still can't figure out how to cancel it.

please help...

I am having the same issues.

If you have an iPhone open settings and click the circle at the top to get to your profile. Scroll down until you see Manage Subscriptions. Click that and look for FitBit. Open that and select cancel subscription. That will keep you from being automatically charged.

Let me know if you need more help.

@Lynyoga Welcome to the Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

I appreciate the troubleshooting tried prior to posting. I would like you to confirm that you followed this procedure to cancel your subscription. Once you have cancelled it, you could confirm this by visiting the store where you subscribed from.

Also, in order to use the Fitbit app you need a compatible operating system which are for Apple iOS 12.2 or higher and Android 7.0 or higher.

@Russelldavid Welcome to the Community. Please confirm you're doing the procedure posted by @PDFitch if you have an iPhone or check full instructions in this article

@jitu11 A warm welcome to the Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this, I've merged your post here. Fitbit Premium subscriptions are non-refundable, however you could contact the store that you used to subscribed to Premium, sometimes they are able to provide refunds.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

I have cancelled my subscription and contacted Apple for a refund. Thank you.

This does not work. I find it impossible to cancel my  annual subscription which I find is automatically renewing despite that renewal  not being shown on my Apple account. The fitbit coach advises connecting to iTunes store, but on the website and through the App the connection does not work. This looks suspiciously like fraudulent renewal

I want to cancel it premium  subscription

I tried to click on the instructions link for canceling via Apple but the link was not “live.”  Please send instructions. I went to settings and found Fitbit subscription but no option to cancel

@PDFitch Thanks for letting me know that you reached out to Apple.

@SunsetRunner A warm welcome to the Community. Thanks for your feedback, sorry you feel this way. I would like you to double check that you're logged into the same iTunes account that you used when subscribing to Fitbit Premium, this could be the reason why you're not seeing it when you go to the store.

Also, please confirm you're following this procedure to cancel it.

Hi.

Thanks for getting back to me.

1. There is no option in my app for "manage subscriptions", I have checked umpteen times for this but it ain't there and I still got charged for a month of fitbit premium??

2. I checked via the online version of my fitbit profile, i.e in the browser. I found "manage subscriptions" in that tab there are no subscriptions.

Could you please tell me why I was charged €8.99 last month for a service that I never could access? I can take screen shots of my phone for your information, but I've noway to send them because it's impossible to get an email address for customer service. I don't have a twitter account and I've tried the live chat several times but no one ever responds.

I do appreciate that finally someone is listening and answering my questions.

I do however feel suspicious of Googles "communication difficulties". It seems to me that it is very convenient for the company, as it appears extremely difficult for people to get the money that they have been unlawfully charged.

The money was taken out of my account on the 13th of July.

It's almost the 13th of August. I have spent the last two months trying to sort this.

Your continued response is greatly appreciate.

I have the same email, it opens in I-tunes but there is nowhere to cancel it.  Two options Monthly or Yearly subscription.  How did you cancel it?

Thanks

If you’ve got an iPhone try going into your ID in Settings. There’s a place there to manage subscriptions. Some people seem to find that they have already cancelled without realising it.

I cancelled my Premium subscription on my Fitbit app, then requested a
refund through the Google Play store and they provided me with a refund.

I signed up for free 90 day trial and absolutely loved it. I unfortunately had to cancel, and I hate that I had to but I was able to cancel mine through my google play store under subscription sections.
