I'm receiving health reminders ('drink water', 'what's for dinner',...) and I would like to disable them, but i don't see the option 'reminders for health and wellness' in the fitbit app to disable them (I'm not Premium)

Follow these steps to turn off health and wellness reminders on your Fitbit app:

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > your device image > Health & Wellness Reminders.
  2. Turn the reminder off.

@annickdw A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thank you for getting in touch about this.

Stay hidrated and Eat with the sun health and wellness reminders are only for Premium users, this could be why you're not seeing the Health & Wellness Reminders.

Can you double check that your Fitbit account isn't paired to a third-party app? This third-party app could be sending these reminders. If you don't have any third-party apps linked to your account, please attach a screenshot to your next reply.

Let me know how it goes.

The reminders started after a previous 'update', and they include 'active
zone minutes' which my Charge 3 doesn't seem to support...I am
already deleting the challenges I receive (which require the same 'active
zone minutes') at the app in my phone... (since a new update I'm receiving
these challenges, kinda annoying if my Charge 3 can't do them)
I do have third-party apps linked, but NONE of them is sending 'reminders',
NONE of my apps are allowed to send reminders (none is vinked)... and the
reminders that remain are the 'fitbit-ones' - there is no new third-party
app linked recently, but Fitbit updated...
I have no idea how to include a screenshot, my issues are in my
Fitbit-device.

a few of the messages:
- Get in the zone! time spent in your cardio heart rate zone earns you
double the Active Zone Minutes.
- Scrub-a-dub! Time to wash those hands for 20 seconds.
- Kickstart your metabolism by eating a low-sugar breakfast.

@annickdw Thank you for letting me know the notifications you're getting on your Charge 3.

Sorry to hear that you received the Get In Your Zone Challenge invitation however you couldn't participate due to the tracker that you have.

Regarding the Fitbit notifications you're getting, you could disable the "Wash your hands" reminder as this is the free one. However the other notifications you're receiving are Fitbit insights, if you don't like them you could tap the X or the thumbs down icon to provide feedback to the app.

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > your device image > Health & Wellness Reminders.
  2. Turn the reminder off.

Thank you for your understanding. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

- Uninstall the Fitbit app

- Change your profile and system setting locale back to US, GE or AU

- Wait for around half hour

- Reinstall app, find Health & Wellness Reminders setting page

Let me know how it goes.

I'm following this thread because I'm having the exact same problem. I've always been in the USA. Still, no option anywhere in any settings to turn off the water reminder on my charge 3 or in the app anywhere. And the reminder is freaking annoying!

Thanks for suggestions, but they're NOT helping. Please keep advising.

When is this known problem finally going to be fixed?

also still bugged by the same problem.

I bought a new fitbit.. the unwanted 'premium' reminders remain... I cannot opt out because I am not premium... to me this is unwanted spam... it seems to be a setting in my account and I CANNOT fix it myself

I found the solution

In the Fitbit app click on your image, click on the device you have linked to Fitbit (in my case it shows a charge 3), scroll down to health and wellness reminders, now turn those suckers off!

Best Answer

There is no tab or any options/settings for health and wellness reminders for some users... Fitbit is refusing to acknowledge this and fix the problem.

I have the same issue. I get those unwanted notification in my Fitbit device, which is very disturbing. In addition, there is no option in the Android application for health and wellness reminders, so I cannot turn it off myslef. Fitbit, please fix that asap, this is very annoying!

Best Answer

I don't have the option 'health and wellness reminders'... that is why I can't stop this undesired spam...

still no solution... I used to be a fan of fitbit... my next probably not...

I first went through troubleshooting with fitbit back in December about this issue. They didn't help so I came here only to find a plethora of threads all over the forum about others experiencing the same...and there's still no fix?? Let me guess, it will be fixed when the built in obsolescence kicks in and we all move on to devices that aren't from Fitbit 😉

I was getting inundated with hydration reminders which were draining my battery. Here are the steps for non-premium users:

Open App

Click on your picture

Select your device

Scroll down to "Health & Wellness Reminders" and click on it

Toggle on/off which reminders you want (mindfulness, hydration, wash your hands).
