Request for Flex 3

I just got my Flex 2, and I love it. I love the fact that it doesn't have a screen only the dot, because I can have it on my right wrist and still have my watch on my left.

There is only one thing I would love to see in Flex 3 - a heart-rate monitor. I came across the Amazfit Cor, and it has a heart-rate monitor, and I would love to see this on a Flex 3. I don't need any screen, the app is great, keep the dots and add heart monitoring, and I would be first in line to buy 🙂

Probably not the right place to request functions for upcoming products, but why not.

For me any screen would be a deal-breaker. I’m going to wear a handsome watch on my left wrist, and while I’d like to have a tracker on my right wrist, it simply cannot have a redundant screen. A Flex 3 in a leather band would be very stylish.

Agree that it is not discreet, and could not be worn beside a (nice) watch. However I could not wear the Flex 2 beside my watch - looked too weird. So I wore it on the other wrist and to be honest I would have preferred it with no lights. At least with the Whoop strap it will be on my other wrist, won't look like I'm wearing two watches (as no screen) and be functional. So it suits what I need it to do.

There has never been as far as I can tell a good solution to integrate / wear on the same wrist as a watch.

Absolutely agree!!!

Discreet. No lights, for the other wrist. Kinda like an old Jawbone that actually works.

Hello everyone. Thank you so much for your feedback and suggestions and happy to hear that you are excited about a possible Flex 3 device. As mentioned before in this post your best chance to make your voice be heard is by posting in the Feature suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exist so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.

I'll be around.

I hear you 🙂 Like my Fitbit Flex 2, but LOVE my Omega Constellation.

Sad to think that the Flex may be gone for good if an assumption is made from the non-existence of marketing (and I imagine R&D as well) around a potential 3rd version. The Flex 2 came out back in 2016 so we're going on 3 years since the last Flex release. My Fitbit is on its last leg and I prefer watches also. Only thing is mine aren't made by Rolex.

On that note, you can send the money on over here anyways, Venice 😆

It's been almost 3 years since the release of the Flex 2. I'm starting to have little faith that a version 3 is being considered

That is what I'm looking for, just a small addition of a heart monitor as long as it keeps it small like the flex 2 and keeps the water resistant status

Best Answer

Let's not. I wear the Flex 2 in the bangle or the necklace because I cannot stand wearing anything tight around my wrists. The fact that it's tiny and removable is what makes it so great.

Yesterday I finally lost my flex 2.

The band was coming apart at the clasp for months. The rubber that the clip slots into had come loose, I had been applying superglue!

Now it's fallen somewhere and I have no way to buy a new Flex 2 because no where sells them anymore.
I like the fitbit brand enough, I like the app

But now I NEED a new fitbit I look at the current product lineup and I hate them!

I want an activity tracker, not a watch!

Flex 2 had so much potential with its tidy waterproof pebble. I want a small subtle band to help me track step goal and sleep.

Since the Flex 2, all fitbit products have gotten bigger, clunkier, and are just trying to compete with top smart watches.

I want a tiny, slim, discrete band with different strap options. I want to be able to adjust it to fit in with any outfit. I want the battery to last as long as possible.
New fitbits are not working to achieve this!

I hope Fitbit does not give up this series as there are group of user support this product. Especially for the people who do outdoor activities like hiking, climbing, swimming. We do not want to wear a Fitbit with a screen or metal part on it. Fitbit flex 2 is simple and nice, it does not scratch so that we could wear it all the time. I actually wear it 7x24 except shower and charging battery. If Fitbit does not discontinue this series, I would definitely buy it again when needed and introduce to to other people.

Sometimes it is interesting to just tap the fitbit to see how many lights do I have. It reminds me how lazy I am that day if I only get 2 or 3 lights.

I feel that the Flex 2's charm is the fact that is doesn't has a screen. I'm in accord with the others. I feel that all a future Flex model needs is a heart rate sensor. Less is indeed more in this case.

I totally agree! I love my flex 2 as I like that it is more like a bracelet than a watch. I have a watch and pretty sure most other people have the same problem that they don’t want to wear their normal watch and a fitbit with a face together! If Fitbit are reading this PLEASE release a flex 3 with more advanced features 🙂

Thank you fitbit for listening to us. I have been in limbo waiting to upgrade from my flex 2. Now the Halo is coming..............

Also want to add in - my husband has gone through two flex 2s because the little tracker keeps falling out during work. It would be great for the Flex 3 to be created like the charges and altas in that it connects to the bands as well - but no screen (he can’t have a screen tracker due to work) and add in the heart monitor! GPS would be even better but not necessary

The bottom line is that every other company has the screen, it is a saturated market. You have the upper hand with the flex in my opinion with being tiny and no screen. I love my flex 2. I wish you can still buy it. My wife lost hers because it fell out. The rubber band tends to wear out and the pocket that holds the tracker gets bigger where the tracker is loose. I think a flex 3 with improved design and features but still being small would be an awesome upgrade. Also you could make one for kids. Not having the screen would mean they could keep it on while in school and while not being distracting.

I definitely want a Flex 3 to be released! Not only do I love my aging Flex 2 because I can wear it with my blinged out watches, I also really love my Flex 2 because it's the first piece of "jewelry" I can stand to wear 24/7. I can't handle wearing a watch all the time; too bulky. The Flex 2 is so comfortable and lightweight, I forget I have it on. I've been looking at other brands for a screenless tracker, but they're so wide and bulky looking, they remind me of the slap bracelets from my school days. No thank you. I've honestly been looking at totally switching brands if I can find what I'm looking for, and I used to be a loyal FitBit customer. Come on, FitBit! Serve this part of your customer base!
(And, I Love the idea of the Flex 3 fitting into the same bands that the Flex 2 uses. The design is perfect.) This thread is old, I know, but it's still very relevant. Thanks.

FitBit definitely seems to have dropped the ball. I'm still holding out hope that some forward thinking person at FitBit or at Google now that they've been acquired will see that there is a market and make the Flex 3. And while they're at it, hopefully they'll fix the extremely ineffectual customer service. It's probably the worst customer service on the market. Problems are never fixed. Hopefully Google coming on board will be a good thing. Or maybe FitBit's glory days are over. It's not too late, but they need to make a change in how they do things.

Surely a Flex 3 is much awaited, would really appreciate a slim faceless Band, stopped using Fitbit since no faceless bands available for now

Don't forget to vote for the flex 3 on the features board.

I'm also looking for a slim band with HR tracking. I'm using a watch on the left hand, so the tracker would be used on another hand. Because of this I want it to be slim and look more like a wrist "bracelet"/band than a fitness tracker.

I agree!  I just want a tracker, no screen.  I wear my Flex with my watch.  I don't want all of the frills of a screen. I just want my tracker.
