Request for Flex 3

I just got my Flex 2, and I love it. I love the fact that it doesn't have a screen only the dot, because I can have it on my right wrist and still have my watch on my left.

There is only one thing I would love to see in Flex 3 - a heart-rate monitor. I came across the Amazfit Cor, and it has a heart-rate monitor, and I would love to see this on a Flex 3. I don't need any screen, the app is great, keep the dots and add heart monitoring, and I would be first in line to buy 🙂

Probably not the right place to request functions for upcoming products, but why not.

I love my flex 2 but after 3 years it’s now needing charging every other day. I don’t want to replace it with something chunkier because it lives on the opposite wrist to my watch. I’d love a new flex to have a better or replaceable battery and come standard with an ankle strap. A tiny screen to show steps would be nice but not at the expense of form factor.

@ViCsTaa0414 @FiferJanis  @markRlewis  It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

@Kokopelli  I hope you're doing well! Not sure what post or information you are talking about. Still as I have mentioned you can search the Feature Suggestions board and vote for the ideas you wish to see on a possible Flex 3. This is also something you can do @ViCsTaa0414 .

@FiferJanis thank you so much for your loyalty and preference of the Flex 2 format. We have new devices that might interest you as they are the Inspire and Inspire HR. If they are still too big then please vote for the idea of a future Flex 3.

@markRlewis please add all these details and suggestions to the existing idea like this one or this one.

Keep me posted.

Hi you said earlier I should post in the feature suggestion which I though I was.

i guess Fitbit people are nevertheless monitoring the whole forum.

saw the new product. No flex3 yet...

@Kokopelli I saw... This release without the presence of "Flex 3" was at least unfortunate Smiley Frustrated

I just watched the fitbit videos on the inspire series and I am very concerned. I love my  flex 2 but will not replace it with an inspire when the time comes. Too large and bulky! I think you are misreading your market. If I want a watch I'll wear one. I just want activity and sleep tracking that's reliable and small. I'll keep my flex 2 for as long as I can, then I'll find a similar product from a competitor unless I don't have to.

Hear hear. I find it amazing that nearly all comments from costumers about updated trackers have been emphasising that we don't want a bulky tracker with a screen but a thin discrete one (that you can wear with a wristwatch and so on) and what does fitbit do? Discontinue the one tracker they have with these qualities and replace it with a bulky tracker with a screen. What are you doing fitbit? Why antigonise your costumers like this? Many of us got a fitbit because we didn't want a bulky smartwatch-like tracker. Why can't you keep the one line you have that offers this? Really really bad move. Might as well switch to a different brand now already instead of keep entering data into an app I'll have to give up on anyway once my current flex 2 folds 😞

Thank you everyone for sharing your input here. You won't find the Flex 3 as a product in the Feature Suggestions board as there isn't one yet. But you can title your suggestions for a future Flex 3 and post what you wish to see for that device if there is one released in the future.

I'll be around.

Well, what's wrong with continuing the current flex2 line?  Basically it's what we want.  I got a replacement flex2 with another flex2 after searching extensively and finding an open-box one to purchase.  But I've already got the band/accessories for it, it's waterproof (key), unobtrusive, I can wear it on my ankle (key) and don't feel like it's yet another watch I need to lug around.  It's a very nice, minimalist product for those of us who want a nice, waterproof, minimalist product to simply phone data back to our em... phone.

🤔 I want to believe that the flex 2 is discontinued to enable flex3 to come out...

@Kokopelli Yeah, but personally I doubt it is going to happen! (But I bought a spare Flex 2 in case mine dies)

I would LOVE for a Flex 3 to come out! My Flex 2 died a month ago and I HATE not having a fitness tracker!! I want it to stay as a plastic cover tracker, because I have a skin allergy to particular metals and I didn’t have any reactions to the Flex 2. But I would love LOVE it if Fitbit could add a Heart Monitor and A STAIR COUNTER. OMG. I miss the stair counter soooo much from my Charge (Or Charge 2, can’t remember which one I owned) many many moons ago.

Lost my Flex 2 on Sunday and definitely got the most perkily useless response to my 'why isn't there anything like it now?' email. Because clearly I hadn't already gone looking for one from any of their trusted retailers or anything, and if it really was such an 'awesome idea!' then why did they get rid of it?

Fairly certain everybody else has already covered the 'other products are too bulky' and 'two wrist-screens looks dumb and I love my watch' reasons, but since they like to have everything stated in multiple times (at least judging by how they told me what I was complaining about in that email) I suppose it can't hurt.

My wrists are bony, I want something small and light. I am a woman, my clothes don't have a lot of places to consistently hang a clip. I'm more of an analog watch kinda gal, and simultaneously wearing two wrist devices with faces would look just as stupid as it sounds. If I wanted a digital screen on my wrist I'd get an Apple Watch. My phone already takes care of my calls, emails, texts, etc. Seriously, I had my flex set so that it only ever lit up/vibrated in response to my exercise goals. A friend offered me her fitbit Alta (which she stopped wearing for the same reasons I don't want to get an Inspire) and I found the weight noticeably annoying.

That's all I have for now. I have no faith whatsoever in the company going back to screen-less or a reasonable size because giving people the latest fad over giving them something useful is what all the cool kids are doing. And clearly fitbit would rather be cool than useful.

Maybe they can make it to where the lights can be disabled, I love the light feature. Especially when I don't where my Galaxy watch because the lights alert you to texts and calls as well.

I hope a Flex 3 comes out soon. I'm ready to retire my Blaze and wear actual watches again!

My Blaze is slow on the step count and it's been a problem ever since I got it as a gift a few years ago. In with the new as soon as the Flex 3 is released!

I have lots of watches but I NEED a tasteful faceless tracker for my other wrist. Soon please.

  • No no no no screen. Small, discreet. I have watches. I need a discreet tracker for the other wrist. I'd buy a new flex 2, but the fact that it's been discontinued is a deal breaker. I'll wait for the Flex 3.

Go ahead and keep us posted as this is the perfect place to make your voice heard. 😉 Those are pretty good ideas for a new Flex model. I would like to see a tracker with screen but a little one so it wont lose it's comfortable and slim design. So let's see what our team decides to do in the future.

I currently wear a Rolex and an Alta HR. Stupid. I wanna throw away the Alta and buy a Flex 3. Where can I send my money?

I think it won’t happen. We get that moderator answer who wishes for a slim one yet with screen (Alta is ok for that but it is ridiculous to wear I agree a regular watch and that) so the light screenless is off the board unfortunately.

Get an Alta then.

Thank you for your enthousiasm...

but no flex 3 yet....

shame.

Mas o said i love the Fitbit environment, my family is switching to I watch... I am still hesitating because it is a more expensive device but I think it is the most elegant bulky device on the market I still prefer my watch.

If a moderator is saying that they want a screen there is NO chance that a slim sleek screen less replacement for the Flex 2 is on the radar.

I lost my Flex 2 and as there is no availability where I am of a replacement Flex 2, I will be buying a Whoop Strap. Looks a better product anyway and Fitbit has dropped the ball.

I have just looked at the product you mentioned it is huge! bulky big no screen... nothing to do with something discreet that can be worn alongside a nice watch.

not for me.
