Fitbit app not detecting Inspire 3

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So the app has decided it can't find my Inspire 3 it starts by not syncing this has happened a few times normally I just restart my phone and all is good, this time I restared my phone 3 times no success, I then removed the device from the App so could add again which has also worked before but now it cant find the device at all, so I have tried several other things.

So far I've restarted the fitbit itself. Turned Bluetooth off then back on. Unistalled the App and reinstalled.

I've done all these at least 5 times aswell as restarting my phone several more times nothing is working. Any ideas on what to do next other than getting rid of the fit bit and tryibg a galaxy fit watch instead.

I bought mine after a health scare and it has been helpful. I was quite pleased I found it so easy to use, at least until now.I'm confused though. If yours works with the App surely deleting the App and reinstalling should work for others. Presumably it's the App that needs updating not the Fitbit as how could that be updated if it's not connected to anything. Sent from my Galaxy

It's the app that's not working. A new version was up last night. I tried
that one and I still can't get it to work. My Fitbit has not worked for a
week now. Customer service is no help. They suggest steps to try, which
I've done countless times and it still doesn't work. I've used Fitbit for
several years, but I'm done after this. I will buy a tracker from a
different company. This has been frustrating as hell. I'm done with Fitbit.

I sympathise. I'm in my 60s and not into heavy duty exercise or IT come to that.   I just wanted a simple tracker that is easy to use.I deleted the app and reinstalled it yesterday. Reset the tracker, turned my phone on & off, everything they suggested.I get the same error message every time I try to pair the devices. There's a market for a tracker for old folk like me. I don't think Fitbit are filling the need.Sent from my Galaxy

I was going to attempt this...until I saw I need to enter a credit card
number, and decided I will wait to see if Fitbit ever comes up with a
solution in my lifetime.

I tried last night, and just attempted again. Supposedly there's a new version up. I get to the point where it tells me it has found my Inspire 3 and advises me about the 4 digit pairing code. Then I get the "Not Working?" screen. The definition of insanity is trying something over and over and hoping for a different result. Apparently Fitbit doesn't care about its customers. They seem in no hurry to fix this problem. My Inspire hasn't worked for over a week now. Fitbit is a lousy product and I will be switching to a different tracker.

I have tried this with no luck. Do you have any other suggestions?

Unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing that any customer can do to resolve this Bluetooth setup and sync issue.  Only an updated App SW release from Google will work to recover all the Inspire 3 bricks that are currently in customer's hands and it doesn't appear that Google is in any hurry to do that.

What a terrible customer experience for first-time buyers of what is actually a pretty decent entry-level fitness tracker, developed by Fitbit and then completely destroyed by Google.

Google gets a 'no condidence' vote from me when it comes time for me to choose my next fitness tracking device, because I have never seen such bad customer service from any US based company before.

Makes me wonder just how bad things are going to get when Google AI releases products of any kind to the marketplace as well.

When I thought mine had packed up completely (not realising it was a software issue), I deleted the App and wrote a 1 star review on Amazon where I bought the Fitbit in April. Even if the App eventually gets fixed I doubt I'll go back to using it daily. I'd certainly never buy another and I'm glad I didn't sign up for Premium when my 6 month trial ran out a couple of weeks ago. Sent from my Galaxy

Thanks for that info. My phone is an A13, and I have just done an update to
the fitbit app that became available on the 29 Oct.but it still has not
fixed the problem for me.

I have just spent several hours with fitbit techs on this issue. Was told they "are working on it" and check back next week. They are having issues with the app and inspire 3. When I switched back to the inspire 2, the app was fine. It's very annoying to say the least.

I'm not sure. Looking for suggestions. My Inspire3 the same. 48 hours doing what everyone is doing. This afternoon I took the device off the app. It won't find it back. I don't want to do a factory reset. Because it seems that even then it won't work. Has anyone gotten a new device from Fitbit? Then I don't want yo get one that has tge same problem.

Nothing is working for me. I had it working and the it did an automatic
update and shut down again.

I did a factory reset but it made no difference. I'm waiting until someone says the app has been fixed. Then I'll try pairing again. If it takes too long I might not even bother. I'm not missing the device that much. So glad I decided not to pay for Premium. Sent from my Galaxy

This does not appear to be an Android only problem. My Inspire 3 was connecting and syncing yesterday after updating to iOS 18.1 but after turning iPhone 14 off overnight it is no longer connecting via bluetooth. No similar problem previously with iOS 18.0.1 when phone was turned off overnight. Using version 4.29 of the iOS app, However my wife's inspire 3 is syncing to her iPad using iPadOS 18.1 after being turned off overnight. Have not applied latest firmware update to either inspire 3.
