You seem to be forgetting, these issues didn’t happen before the most recent update. When are Fitbit going to admit their update has had a detrimental affect in battery life. I didn’t have any issues until the software update. I didn’t change ANYTHING except the software update, so you’ve obviously done something in the background which is draining the battery life! Stop posting these BS solutions and look at yourselves Fitbit

When is Fitbit going to come out and tell us the real reason why battery lives have reduced in life span. Is it because a new version is coming out soon and it will force people to buy the new overpriced bracelet?

Hi Matt
just restarted the device.
Went to to bed and the charge was 94% and woke up to 56%. Means it won’t survive the day. Any idea what causes the issue

I recently upgraded my Ionic Game Golf to V 1.0.9 and now a fully charged Ionic only lasts 9 holes. It used to only drop 50-60% after a full 18 holes. Is there a fix?
I have been a fan of Game Golf and Ionic for over a year, even when many people were having problems. Now the latest upgrades have created a real problem we need fixed. Thank you,
Doug S

I started having battery drain, going from about four days down to less than two. I saw NZWhitenight's post about doing a factory reset so I tried that. So far, that seems to have done the trick. I now have 64% left after four days. I haven't added back the three apps that I had on (have only added two so far) and have just enabled all day sync. I have turned off a lot of the notifications - ones that I didn't really need anyway - and have only enabled the ones that I really want. I'm cautiously optimistic that this has fixed whatever was glitching. If you haven't tried it, you might want to just to see if it works.

I got fitbit initially for sports, but it seems to have no ability to last very long recently.
This is a brand new replacement one, I've had issues since the last firmware update.
I charged it to 100%, did a reset as well. Today, took it out to a match - Normally, when I finish a game the battery will be anywhere between 89-95% left, which is rather reasonable. It's amazing and reliable, hence why I like it...
Today however, 100% battery, out we go and I just checked it now: 49% battery left, in other words its dropped 40% more than it normally would. It is critical that the watch remains functional for me as I need it for time keeping - the heart rate/tracking is for my personal use, but the time keeping is critical. That the battery is dropping this quickly, given it's not even an old one, makes me seriously worried.
For the record: This watch was replaced: 12th October 2018.
Battery issue started December. On January 5th 2019 the battery went from 100% to 8% in the course of normal use, it died when I got home. It hasn't been this extreme since, but it is still dropping super fast when I need to use it.
So, am I eligible for another replacement? I need this to be reliable throughout the full seasonal calendar - and not with everything turned off, as otherwise what is the point in buying it? If I want a dumb-watch I'd use one!

I tired the resting and it didn’t help much , I will give it a day or two to see if that helped. So far I am at 64% after the morning fully charge. Hopefully it will survive through the night.
Already started looking for other option in case I had to change the watch.

Doesn’t look like Fitbit are going to admit any fault from there end. My Ionic went from 75% overnight (asleep) to under 20%.
i woke to an email saying they’re stumped and want to work out a solution and if my Ionic is under a year old they’ll consider replacing it, well it is just over a year old (13 months) I got it as a Christmas gift and so therefore ineligible to be replaced. Like I said an expensive bracelet. I recall someone else saying they are designed to last just beyond the warranty period ..... I thought they were joking.
well I’m speaking to a number of media agencies here and they’re reading all the threads here now. Hopefully they’ll contact Fitbit and ask some questions of them.

I did the restart and it did not help. Both times I played golf the Ionic completely died after 9 holes. This did not happen prior to recent updates. I am not going to use it for golf anymore until I hear back that the issue is fixed- because, when it dies, I can’t even use it to track my steps, etc let alone tell time.

Do you realise you’re no help at all, you are just annoying posting the same thing every time. If Fitbit aren’t going to help, and I mean genuinely really help with actual individual, physical help, then don’t bother.
