Every time I tried to calibrate my Ionic, it tells me “make sure sensors are cleared” or something like that. I plug it in and lay it on it side (with and without wrist bands) and I get the same thing over and over again. What is wrong and how can I fix this? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

@Pipbellsham it's a known issue since the OS 2.0 update. Many of us (myself included) are suffering the inability to complete calibration and receive daily reminders to calibrate. Fitbit indicates they are working on a fix in the next update.

Has anyone had the issue of it not calibrating when plugged in? I get this message every day and plug it in after a few seconds a big X comes up and says retry. Any suggestions?

I updated and it asked to recalibrate. I accidentally clicked off of it and now i can't get it back. I feel like my step count is off (way under) anyway to bring this up manually

My ionic was re charged and calibrated then after if I do a 100 steps it might register 1 or none, I’ve tried doing a exercise and nothing. Can I re start the ionic then calibrate again.

How to calibate for fitbit ionic

When I plug it in, a large green "checkmark" shows on my screen. I didn't know if I should touch it or not, so I did. Later today I got another message that I needed to calibrate. So, I assume that when the checkmark shows up, I do nothing and let it do it's thing??

@DSMTC the green checkmark is indication it has completed successfully. I say that with emphasis as my Ionic presents this daily at 8:00 PM. (until a recent restart of the Ionic)

My Ionic hasn't been calibrated since OS2 came out several months ago. At that time it would never succeed, no matter what I did. It needed power for that attempt at calibrating.
After the most recent update, I am asked to update every evening at 8pm. No instructions asking for any special conditions at all, just calibrate or later.
Since this is ongoing, I now just tell it to update. The same response every time - whether I set it down, charge it, continue in the middle of a walk, whatever. No matter what, it instantly changes to a green check mark.
So, I now "calibrate" every day at 8 pm.
I hope it doesn't really need calibration!

@IronicIonic If you haven't done so, reset you Ionic. There are instructions here:
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Ionic/Resetting-Your-Ionic/td-p/2232205
I have encountered the same, daily calibration reminder on my Ionic after the past two updates. After resetting my Ionic the reminders have stopped. (Granted, I don't know if the Ionic is calibrated or not. Comparing step count and heart rate with an older tracker show similar results, so I'd say my Ionic is calibrated)
