How to clear all notifications?

Is the only way to clear all notifications to scroll all the way down to the bottom of notifications? If I haven't done this in a while it can take quite some time, there has to be a faster way. Any help here?

I have notifications from over a year ago that are not deleting and stopped getting notifications in June 2018.  I want to clear them out. I hate seeing the red button in the corner

This is for the Fitbit Alta HR

Amazingly yesterday had a usual, 'tidying things up' message and after that I had no notifications at all! 🙂 However I now can't confirm this as on the next re-charge it seized midway through, and is now useless, just displaying a half full battery whatever I do! Not sure if the two are related, or just co-incidence..?  Any others with input?

Hmmmm.. Managed to unfreeze it and regrettably next sync all old notifications back in iPhone app, so no change..

@DaveBC @obx11 @slippyclutch @Chtaylo @Karmac53 @youmeanupthatol @fairmont1955 @amsqueenbee @tharten I hope you're doing well and welcome to the Fitbit Community to all the new users. Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences regarding this situation. Thanks for sharing all of those details regarding this.

Regarding the Fitbit app notifications, it is not possible to delete them. Fitbit stopped sending these notifications in June.

If you need to delete notifications on Fitbit Ionic, please do the following:

  • To delete 1 notification, tap the notification > Clear.
  • To delete all notifications at once, swipe to the top of your notifications and tap Clear All.

About the red dot on the notifications tile on the Fitbit app, thanks for letting Fitbit know about this issue. Fitbit is aware of it, but may not be able to provide a fix in the immediate future. They will continue to monitor the situation, and keep our team informed of the impact to you and other customers.

I understand that this isn't the resolution you're hoping for, but rest assured we're always working to improve our products.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. Have a great day!

No....you’re not ALWAYS working to improve your product when a help thread is 1.5 years old, 5 pages long and NO resolution to deleting 2 year old exercise progress notifications and messages from friends has occurred...

This is similar to having a way to turn off “Quick View” (the wrist twist activation) on earlier Fitbit bracelets that now cannot be turned off and gives you a FLASH every now and then  while sleeping....

We all LOVE our Fitbit’s, you finally made a waterproof one! Just get a programmer or two to update these little glitches!

Grandma --

If you don't see the notices then forget about it ... you don't have a problem.

If you do see the notices then forget about them ... they are old,
FitBit won't send any new ones, you can't delete them at your end, and
FitBit's unfit programmers don't know how to delete them at their end.

So in either case -- see them or don't see them -- there is nothing
you can do, so just ignore the whole business.

Idjit........you probably have 3000 texts, missed calls, and emails sitting on your phone and just ignore them.....

Debateable who is the idjit..?

Best Answer

I guess so!

I could be the idjit,

the poster who said just ignore the problem like it’s not there could be the idjit,

or the company that can’t fix what seems like a simple programming problem could be the iidjit...

Step to your podiums and start debating! If enough participate, it’ll be a mass debate!

But I’ll sit the rest of this thread out....got to get some steps in....

This worked until the next time I synched my fitbit, then it brought back all the old notifications - most of which are over a year old.

This worked great until the next time I synched my fitbit, then it brought back all the old (over a year old) notifications.

This does not work at all, either on an android device or in the PC app.

I’m having the same problem and I’m a bit OCD and it stresses me out seeing all the notifications 🤣

Prepare to be stressed forever as the useless Fitbit IT people can't or won't fix it, and only they can. Very annoying as it would be so easy to do...
