My new Ionic Bluetooth doesn't work. It can't find any Bluetooth devices and it won't sink to my Galaxy s6.

nothing is working for me. I completed a bike ride today and was waiting all day for the sync to Strava... it never happened. I've tried all of the suggestions. I also have the Windows app installed and my Windows PC doesn't show the ionic listed in the Bluetooth (well, it did have it listed, but not connected, so I deleted it from the list and it never got re-added).
Very frustrated. Any other steps to try? I've done everything listed, very carefully.

I tried this Sunday and it worked but then on Monday in it disconnected again. Is this going to be a daily thing now

I have no idea. Incredibly frustrated right now. I really just want something that works, and I'm pretty sure this Ionic is NOT it. I am on the phone with support right now, and she is checking something. I am wondering what the period is for getting a refund, because if this isn't fixed today, I am sorta done with trying over and over again to get it to work.

So Fitbit phone support suggested that I somehow get a different phone, because the Google Pixel 3axl is not compatible. She suggested that even though everything worked fine for the last 3 months, when the Fitbit app updated, the sync problem was introduced, and because my phone is not compatible, I would have to switch to a new phone. She did not seem to understand the absurdity of this solution. I am on hold waiting for the supervisor.... She came on and said the same thing: not compatible (ridiculous) and therefore no refund, no return, no credit, no help. Goodbye.
I used to work in software development, and removing compatibility would not be considered an upgrade, especially considering the Pixel 3axl is newer than the 3xl. Since the Amazon return window closed, I am stuck with this piece of USELESS GARBAGE. I will NEVER buy another Fitbit product and I will be repeating this story to all of my friends and family.
To me $200 is not trivial. Let's see what Amazon says...
... UPDATE: I did not bother contacting Amazon, because what occurred to me is that if it's true that a software update of the Fitbit app is what broke compatibility with my Google Pixel 3AXL, then if I could find an older version of the software, it should still work, and then although it would be an unsupported workaround to the problem, at least it would work. I would miss out on new features and bug fixes, but on the other hand, Fitbit introduced a MAJOR bug by breaking compatibility!
I had to go back to version 3.0 of the software, which is available here: <never mind... this fitbit community is clearly not wanting people to work around this issue if I can't even post the link... search for "install older version of fitbit" and it will come up... just don't look for it on the Fitbit site... very strange company that doesn't want your stuff to work>
I had to download it and if you don't know how to install an downloaded software update (it is an "apeekay", spelling it out to avoid some kind of censorship on this site) it's pretty easy. To avoid having to do this every time the software updates, go to the Google Play Store and make sure to disable 'auto-update' of the Fitbit app. That way you'll stay on version 3 of the software. Oh, btw, before I installed this version I uninstalled the current, not-working version. Good luck! (and goodbye Fitbit... can't believe they would not recommend this which totally works and makes it not a piece of junk -- I still will not recommend anyone buy a Fitbit ever because of this awful version issue.)

my fitbit has disconnected twice in a week. But usually after two years, the band breaks, just within the warranty time. The watch still works but the band would break and every time they would give me a 50% off of a new one. I started to think it was on purpose so I had to buy a new fitbit. Now that I have a watch that has replaceable bands I'm wondering if it's the newest way to get me to buy a new fitbit. stop connectivity. I use an apple iphone so the software problem doesn't apply, unless it is for older iphones too. I'm good right this second but who knows tomorrow.

Check out Ebay for replacement watch bands.

Thanks for the fix. I thought I had tried everything (including removing the fitbit from the app), after which point my phone wouldn't discover my fitbit. When I saw that my laptop bluetooth may be interfering, that made sense, so I disabled bluetooth on the laptop. As soon as I did this, the phone immediately found the fitbit, the setup went through and synch took all of a few seconds after. For any other readers this is a great fix, but if it doesn't work, it may be worth considering of any other bluetooth devices you have might be interfering/

I just purchased my ionic watch in February of this year. It worked great for the first 3 months. Then I noticed it wouldn’t sink sometimes and it would glitch when I would charge it, forcing me to restart it. Well yesterday it took a big fat dump. The Bluetooth no longer works on it. The watch itself looks like it works but nothing (Bluetooth capable) will pick it up. I did every single thing that every suggested on here to no avail. Now I’m stuck with a $200 watch that has the welcome page in 20 different languages telling me to download the app, even though it is downloaded. I even deleted the app and re-downloaded it 3 more times. As I said, I did all the suggestions on here, including checking my laptop to make sure the Bluetooth was disabled. Oh and just to be clear I have an IPhone 11Pro, so no way I’m heck can fitbit say my phone isn’t compatible anymore. I paid all this money for nothing and I’m so deeply dissatisfied with this product that I was once so happy to have.

Same. Did you find a solution?
bluetooth is not connecting and my ionic lost over an hour in a 24 hour period.

The solution I found was to get a Garmin vivoactive 4! Because the Fitbit was bricked after I did a reset. It wouldn't even turn on.

No, I never found a solution. It all together just stopped working. Fitbit let me down terribly. I now tell everyone to buy anything but Fitbit. Eventually, I will be purchasing the competitor - when I have the money.
