I tried to update to Fitbit OS 2 but it froze part way and how my Ionic will not sync with my phone and even though the update is saying its available it will not find my device on searching so I'm stuck - Please help!!!

oh yes, I put phone and watch close to each other and both are re-charging while updating

I bought a Fitbit ionic yesterday and having problems updating it so I can use it, been updating all night and only up to nearly halfway so is if a faulty watch?

Sames, bought 2 days ago and can’t even begin to use it as it says I must do the update 20.16.23 before it can be used.
I tried every suggestion on this site a few times with different devices. My internet is strong and has always showed full signal.
The Ionic is a piece of crap and I wish I would’ve read this forum prior to buying it. It’s my first and last Fitbit product.
Will be going back to the store tomorrow for a refund (hoping they take back open box)

i have a brand new ionic, i have done all of the above multiple times. it is now 7-8 hours since i first started trying and it has been in a download/installing loop ever since. It has full battery. All phone blue tooth removed other than ionic. Strong wifi.Even tried it using app on laptop. It is a brick - it hasn't even got a clock face and i cannot use it for anything at all.
I have tried getting a chat but it kept binning me off. I have contacted twitter fitbit for help.
I was 50:50 as to whether i got a samsing smartwatch or a ionic... I have been a loyal fitbit customer for 6 years now but this is doing my head in.
What on earth should i do?

I did it twice using laptop and same problem, showing the X red lighten image.
