Luxe Firmware Update 1.146.4

We’re excited to announce that a firmware update for Luxe will be available soon!  Some of you may already have this update available - if you installed it, let us know what you think!

 

If you don’t see the update yet, that’s expected. Check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We expect everyone to receive the update in the coming weeks. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers. 

 

Did you know that we gradually release our updates? We do this to make sure everything is working just right for you. Sometimes we find an issue and it might take a little longer than expected for everyone to get the update. While you might see suggestions on how to “force” an update, we ask that you don’t try any of these workarounds. Most of the time the update won’t be available and you can lose data or encounter other difficulties. The best way to get the update is to be patient and wait for the update banner to appear in the Fitbit app.

Hello guys, 

I'm thinking to get Luxe for some casual tracking. However going through the community. I'm seeing many people facing issues with battery and screen. 
I was wondering if you guys can put some insight on it so that I can decide on buying. 

PS. Its my first time buying a fitness tracker, And thus I really don't wanna fall for a buggy one.

I lost the color charts for Cals burned and Steps on the app. Is that because of the update?

Mine seems to have a bunch of issues after updating the firmware. Like won’t stay connected to phone, has trouble syncing and appears to just turn off for a while.  Have to tap it continuously to get it to light up. Then it’s the teal logo before getting to the clock

Well, I think I have gotten the update but am extremely disappointed in it. The SPO2 feature seems to be in, but it is basic at best. Doesn't show me the % but only displays a chart showing the variation throughout my sleep. No figures whatsoever.

 

I am thinking of switching back to my Garmin Vivosmart 4 which has so many more features compared to this Luxe, and way less bugs.

What type of bugs and improvements.  This doesn't mean anything without explanation.  Does improvements mean addition apps that were promised to us when we purchased the Luxe?

Will O2 saturation be available in this update, or do I already have it? My version on the iphone app is reported as "20001.146.4" while on my device it's "58.20001.146.4" so there are similar numbers but since they do vary, I'm not sure. Quite dissappointed (but not surprised, based on many years of experience with CS here) to find it left out with only "coming soon" if you dive down into the product ad. If I'd have known I'd LOSE functionality when "upgrading" to Luxe, I wouldn't have given away my Charge 4. Not feeling very positive, either, when all I see in the release notes is "This release includes bug fixes and improvements." Can anyone please define what "coming soon" actually means?

Baxter, that’s always been a feature of Premium. I’m thinking that you got a free trial of premium when you purchased your luxe? That’s not the SPO2 percent but just variations

Hi fellow support seekers, I've been Premium for a long time and no, the O2 reading doesn't show at all on my new Luxe, not even the "low tech" reading. It just isn't there at all.

Swipe down on the dashboard and try syncing for a few minutes before syncing fails.
It doesn't change even if I try it many times, such as re-pairing Bluetooth and re-registering the device. Smartphone notifications also do not come to luxe.

Get the Charge.

 

I had one for 3 years before it died. (charge 3)  

 

Since the Luxe is the first version of a new tracker, it is having growing pains. Specifically, the luxe is having significant battery issues and longevity problems and fitbit has not addressed them yet. I cannot recommend it yet, maybe when they come out with the next gen??

I updated my Luxe sometime late July. 

Prior to the update everything was working as expected and I was very pleased with the battery life. 

Changes since I updated the firmware:

1. my battery life is getting progressively worse, I am down to just under 3 full days on one charge. (from 8 days pre-update)

2. Screen will not turn on consistently with a wrist turn

3. Phone call notifications have stopped working

 

I have made no changes to any apps or settings since I set the device up at the end of June. 

Very disappointed. At the rate the battery is going, I am concerned my Luxe will be a paperweight soon. 

 

I updated my luxe to firmware version 1.126.4 around a month ago, and my phone app is the most up to date at version 3.44.

Searching the forums shows many other people are having these issues. What is fitbit doing to correct?

Hello, I got my brand new Luxe this morning (so excited!), but it keeps restarting every few minutes which is very impractical, and means any exercise I do is wiped when it next decides to restart (unless I happen to have manually synced to my phone in the few minutes prior).

 

Is this repeated restarting related to the firmware? If it is, do we know when the next update will be out to fix this?

 

Looking forward to hearing if there are any fixes to this issue (I've tried fully charging it, restarting it, restarting it multiple times in quick succession, clearing user data on the Luxe and removing it from my phone app, and even uninstalling and re-installing the app on my phone).

Hi all, I've gone back to my Charge 4 and given the luxe away. Not ready for prime time. We shouldn't be beta testers.
