July 4th to September 7th 2020 Challenge

Hello and welcome to the 5th challenge of 2020!

We are celebrating our scaled and non-scaled victories and progress. Any one is welcome to join at any time, just hit reply on the most recent post and let us know a bit about yourself.

Following are some acronyms typically used by those who post. Some of us also track body fat or measurements, etc. please add those as you wish.

 

USW - Ultimate start weight

SW - starting weight for this challenge

CW - current weight 

PW - previous week's weight/weigh-in

LW - last weight/weigh-in

GW - goal weight for the challenge

MGW - mini goal weight

UGW- ultimate goal weight

I'm disappointed to report I didn't make as much progress as I hoped.  I weighed 

Oct 2019, 110 pounds  8/21/20, 115.8,    today  8/29/20 115.4  only 9 days left til Sept. 7

Settling into the new eating plan, still need to tweak it a bit.

Heading in the right direction, just not as quick as week one.

Current starting weight - 208.0 (7/4/20)

LW - 199.8

CW - 198.4

GW - 200.0 (9/7/20) Hit 8/22

Stretch goal weight - 198.0

Mini goal - 195.00

UGW - 150.0

I had a much better week this week.  More exercise, better eating.  I will be close to my goal weight if not hit it, but I lost quite a bit this week so I don't expect much of a drop this week.  I need 2 pounds to hit my goal and 9 days to do it!

 

@Cele21great work!  Keep it up and good luck to everyone else as well in the final week of the challenge!

Final weigh in for this challenge! So happy to finally make a goal weight in well over a year and a half! And not only the goal but blew past the stretch goal too!

 

Current starting weight - 208.0 (7/4/20)

LW - 198.4

CW - 196.6

GW - 200.0 (9/7/20) Hit 8/22

Stretch goal weight - 198.0

Mini goal - 195.00

UGW - 150.0

 

I will start the next challenge later today for those that are still interested.

Thanks @Cele21 , I hit my goal weight of 210.... just made it. And I must say, at times being in this challenge helped me stay on track. I like to have a lot of motivational angles (and angels) to help me on my path. I'll join the next challenge for sure!

Well final weight in today.

I know that I can hit my 142 goal eventually as I bounced off 144.4 this challenge.

SW 150

CW 148.6 darn it as I was 147 a couple days ago.

GW 146

UGW 142

 

The air is smokey from several wildfire that have been burning for weeks now. They are getting more contained now. I haven't been able to walk out side on smokey days for long & must wear a mask.

We are suffering from a heat wave here in the SF Bay area & beyond. It was a f$%#&@# 111 F yesterday in my town of Sebastopol only 20 minutes from the Bodega Bay!! Record breaking as it rarely ever goes above 95. I didn't go outside for more than 5 minutes as it felt like an oven. It is super hot again today & I felt lightheaded in the sun while watering the veggies & trees in the garden at 10 am. I don't do well in 90+ weather now that I'm in my seventies my thermostat doesn't work as well. Up in my studio with 3 fans going & a small a/c to bring the temp to 82 F.  Needless to say I'm staying inside and won't get my normal 7500+ steps. I do plan to call friends & walk inside in circles. 

My eating late at night hasn't been as strictly monitored as it was earlier in the challenge. I think that I will get back to 3 miles a day tomorrow but hope to get at least 3500 steps inside my studio today.

I always weigh the most on Monday.  and the least on Friday or Saturday morning.  It isn't any surprise that I'm at 120 today..  I guess we went to the 7th because it was a holiday??   Thanksgiving is a Thursday, (thank goodness).

Good work everyone, and congrats to everyone who made their goals.  I'm pleased I've been able to keep up with this and have been making good progress.  It helps to have a place to be accountable.

Hi everyone! Sorry I didn't start the new thread last night as promised, I had to take an unexpected trip out to my sister. However, I have now posted it. Look for September 7th to October 31st 2020 Challenge.
