I'm new to Fitbit and very seriously trying to lose some weight, I have at least 100 pounds to lose.

My boyfriend has been very supportive to me and is dieting/exercising as well but I definitely need an outside weight loss buddy.

I'm thinking of using the Dash diet.  Did you like it and was it easy to work with?

Hi Fitbit user. I am a certified Dinousaur as not used to replying to
on-line anything so this is very much a new experience for me! I'd be
delighted to buddy up with you re weight loss ideas / help / motivating each
other, would that be of interest?

Hey @Calliefornia13 and everyone else!

I am in the same boat!

I started out being 100 lbs overweight - even then I would be at the highest end of being a "normal" BMI.

After losing 50 lbs now I really could use some encouragement and friends to support and motivate each other. Maybe join monthly challenges together etc.

I will send some friend requests and hope you accept...

Cheers

Birgit

Hi!  I am new to the Fitbit Community.  I have had and faithfully worn my Charge since December. I need to lose at least 70 lbs and I would like to a Buddy or two or more.  I am a senior woman and I need encouragement with diet and exercise.  Have developed some very bad habits with activity since retirement.

I easily tire and have some arthritic issues, but it's true, the more you move, the better you feel.  I need to get moving, and I am making a public committment right here to do so!

I want to increase my steps, and now that the cooler weather is here, plan to get out the bike and ride.  Best exercise for me is biking, but I have fallen off that habit too.   Time to kick start a program and stick to it.  Thanks for being out there.  Please add me to the support group.

Hey all. In a similar boat. Struggling to keep motivation up and frustration down as I power through each day with little to no change on the scale. Not sure how to add people but I'll give it a shot. Would love to have others to share tips and support!

Heya

Happy to have any of you as friends on here if you are looking for motivation buddies 🙂 I am looking for more people to add as I love the motivating chat and the challenge of having the competitions each week!
I lost 20kg a few years back but gained 7 back post op and lost a lot of muscle too so desperately trying to get back down again 🙂 4kg down 3kg to go then tone tone tone!!

Cheers and good luck 🙂

Yes it is, keep going. Eat protein and not carbs. It will fall off

I want all of you to know that if you do a lifestyle change in your diet not a specialized diet you will lose it and keep it off. Of course you must excerise as you go and this is part of the lifestyle change. I have lost 98 lbs, had total hysterectomy 2 months ago, had to stop working have not gained anything back. Now will get to work on last 30lbs. My husband has lost 36lbs. It works but it needs to be a lifestyle change not temporary.

I'm looking to lose about the same amount, about 90lbs or so.  My husband is super supportive, but he's a firefighter and basically gets paid to workout, so he can eat whatever he wants without issue.  I'd love someone I could do daily/weekly challenges with on here and chat with about the process.  I've been on this "journey" for about a year now, and haven't made much progress.  2016 is going to be my year, and it would be great to have a friend with me for the ride 🙂

I am in a similiar situation. I'd like to lose about 80lbs or so. My husband is naturally thin and very fit, as are my two sons. I have been struggling with my weight for most of my adult life, but I feel like my fitbit might be the tool I have been looking for to help manage my calorie intake and output. I would love to buddy up to support each other as well.
