Valentines Day to Easter Challenge 2016

Welcome to the next challenge! Smiley Very Happy

This one will run from Valentines day to Easter, so from February 14th to March 27th. Everyone and anyone can join this challenge in which we all set our own weight loss goals, this gives us 7 weeks in total to work towards them! Smiley Happy

This group of lovely people provides encouraging support and words of advice as we all share our experiences, good and bad. It has proved beyond helpful to myself and many others as we become healthier and achieve amazing things.

To be part of the challenge you start by posting your initial weight stats and what you would like to achieve by the end of the challenge. You can then check in as often as you'd like with a weight update, to share a story from your week or start a conversation about a topic you'd like some advice on.

So excited for us to keep working towards our goals with the fantastic friends from the last challenges and a big 'Hello!' to all the challenge newbies! Smiley Very Happy

Thank you @awood08 for kicking off the last challenge! Smiley Very Happy

@Elle0904, Sorry to hear you went through all that dental work. I've been there, and I understand the feeling. Hopefully, the worse part is behind.

I am happy to hear that, in spite of that, you lost 8+ pounds! Congratulations! Like you, I prefer to loose slowly, and keep it off, rather than pushing it too hard and gaining it back. So far, so good! I lost 20+ this year, and I have another 22 lbs to go before I reach my perfect weight. If I keep going the way I did the last three months, I will be very happy. Nevertheless, slowly or not, as long as we are moving in the right direction, we will both get there. Let's keep it up, my friend!

Best wishes!

Ellie

I am now on my third fitbit, the surge.

This has been a progression from the flex, upwards. Each time I wanted a bit more from each one.

I think that they are a brilliant tool, on many aspects.

I did read a few negative comments beforehand, and I know that sometimes, when doing the washing up, it will register a few steps, but if I was Mo Farah, maybe I would think again, but for a normal person, so what if it is 15,000 steps or 14,990 or 15,050.

As a tool, it wont change your life alone, but it will help.

Another trade-off for me, was that the residual value on auction sites still represents a decent return if it is not for you.

I love mine, hope that this helps

Mary (ms1960) I'm so sorry to hear about your father. My Dad passed in 2013. It changes things when you lose a parent, at least for me it did. The first few months are the hardest. Hang in there. Hope to see you in the other discussion group.

So i hit the goal at Easter (6lbs in 4 weeks) and have passed by it with flying colours (25lbs to date)!!!

I'm keeping my UGW the same at 175 for Christmas 2016 but have a new GW of 190 for October 1

I find summer a harder time to loose so Im pretty positive I can reach that goal over the next 13 weeks!!

Who knows maybe I can get there before!!

Keep up the great work everyone!!Smiley Happy
