Wow, this week shows what cabin fever does to my fitness plan. We had that big snowstorm and were stuck in our driveway for a couple of days. Plenty of shoveling snow but no visits to the Y for a few days.(They were actually open the whole time, but I couldn't get there). Also no fresh produce. I ate too many empty carbs and too many snacks, felt I "deserved" it. Oops. No excuse. I'm posting here because, otherwise, what would be the point of being on this forum?! This week, I am aiming to clip my late evening "dessert" habit. You'd think it would be easy, but not for me, especially if my sweetie will sit there in front of me eating that ice cream or a cookie. (Why do we even have cookies in the house?)

@Starchild68 -- getting snowed in really can screw up fitness/health plans. Fortunately, 1/2 lbs is not that big a deal. :-).
I'm teaching myself how to make soup today as a way to save food I might otherwise throw out. (roasted a chicken earlier in the week and decided to make stock out the bones yesterday). Thinking the whole process might be a good habit to develop especially for snow days where it sometimes seems too hard to fix anything that requires much thought (or ingredients you don't have on hand).

Alright, so I'm only down .1 kg (+/- 20% of a pound), but at least it didn't go up! Further good news is Trendweight has moved my 'estimated' date to reach my goal of 60 kg from September to July. #notgivingup #trying4march #slowandsteadywinstherace

Weight Last Week: 170.8 lbs.
Weight This Week: 172 lbs.
Gain This Week: 1.2 lbs.

Lost 0.3 pounds since a week ago.

Finally managed to get back down to where I was before December. Holiday food and drink were not good for me. Only month I've gained weight since I started this last September. 2019 going well so far!

I am working on losing 8 lbs. Since Jan 1st, I have lost 1 lb, not good. I have a bad habit of mindless snacking and grazing. I am trying to find something to motivate me.

Still going down slowly. It is a rest week for my weight training; so I will probably will have to up the walking/bike-riding a bit, or cut a few more calories, to maintain the downward trend through new week.

Hang in there @debb21. I know how frustrating it can be to lose weight slowly, when we want to reach our goal in a short time. You are not alone. Maybe add an exercise or two with weights to help build muscle, which burns calories faster. Good luck in any case!

Good Evening Everyone -
OK, first weigh-in of February. Another weight gain of 1.2 lbs this week. This is hard! I am meeting with a personal trainer on Thursday. Too much work and a cranky foot have made these last two weeks challenging. Plus too much delicious homemade rosemary cheddar cornbread with butter on Superbowl Sunday. (**ahem** it.)
Starting Weight: 177 lbs.
Weight Last Week: 172 lbs.
Weight This Week: 173.6 lbs.
Gain This Week: 1.4 lbs.
Total Loss So Far: 3.4 lbs.
Goal Weight: 140 lbs.
Hopefully, next week will be better....

I am determined to break through this plateau! My meals at home are super healthy, it’s the little extras (bread, bigger portions, etc.) at meals out and the uncharted snacks that tend to throw me off course.

Very happy about losing 1/2 kg (= 1.1 pounds) this week. But I somehow accidentally deleted the authorization to TrendWeight to access my Fitbit weight, and now can't seem to get it back. Any tips?

I haven't been around in a while but i figured I would check in and see who is still posting. I have been working on overall healthy lifestyle choices and trying to not fixate on weight so much anymore. I still weigh myself at least once a week (I only actually log it weekly) as that keeps me from over reacting to my graph. I have stayed within my range over the past year, only climbing slightly after summer vacation and Chrismas holidays. I am practicing yoga and pilates 3-5 times/week and usually hit around 140k steps/week.
Great work everyone, this is so worth it. My body doesn't hurt, I don't spend money at the pharmacy and my hopes for a future with my lovely wife are far beyond what they were a few years ago. Enjoy giving yourself the gift of health.

@tamado — Good to see you. I think you are about 3 years into your maintenance range after losing around 100 lbs. That really says a lot about how well you’ve internalized your eating and activity habits and I imagine an ongoing awareness of what your body needs to establish and maintain a healthy weight.

Congratulations on the drop this week @Jotex. To reconnect TrendWeight you’ll have to go ‘settings’ on that account, delete your current connection, and then set it again. As you probably know, this won’t result any data loss. Once you reconnect, you can download your weight history (which is stored on Fitbit) and display as much of it as you want on Trendweight by choosing the time period you want on the TrendWeight site.
