I haven't lost weight in awhile, rather it has been staying the same or -- even worse -- gone up!!! I can't seem to snap out of it, and realize I'be become depressed. Sorry Peeps -- I will try to be more upbeat next time.

Jotex, no, no, no.  No need to try and be upbeat.  None of us are always upbeat and being a part of this community means you can express yourself without regret and without projecting what you should be.  Applause, applause for such a heartfelt post. Our ups and downs whether it be in weight or otherwise is what makes us who we are and  gravitating to this community is exactly what we're all here for.  Thank you for your honesty.  Look to that with positivity and hopefully it will provide you with the strength and courage to continue to post and not feel like you have to more upbeat. You can do this.

I forgot to post this on Sunday.

I’m trending back up a bit too @Jotex.  Based on my early weigh-ins this week the trend will likely continue next Sunday.  I’m still trying to find the right balance to maintain at this weight.  I think part of the issue is that my 5 lbs TrendWeight drop was pretty fast (about 10 days) and it happened while I had the flu and was eating about 50% of my normal calories.  That is about as close as I expect to ever come to fasting and I think my body is trying move back to where it was now that I’m not sick.  Food cravings are definitely up!

Thanks @Baltoscott. Knowing I'm not the only one struggling somehow helps, as weird as that might sound. I can definitely identify with your present dilemma of food cravings after losing weight! 😂

Since it’s May 1st I thought it appropriate to post today. For me, renewed confidence and energy are always a plus and definitely on the 1st of the month.  8 pounds gone so far and I know setting my mini goal of losing 2 pounds has helped a lot. In the past I have set mini goals at 5 and even 10 pounds and it seemed like those numbers just sabotaged my weight loss efforts and my confidence. I have not even set an ultimate goal.  For now, just going to keep plugging away at losing 2 pounds at a time.

For the past few months I’ve tried to lower and maintain weight by focusing on my habits and being mindful about my hunger and what I eat. But I am not sure it is working.  The weight has been creeping up a bit the past four weeks.

@Baltoscott : I think you’re being too harsh on yourself by picking your all-time low as your maintenance goal, and by not allowing some flexibility to fluctuate around it. You could just have set 156 ± 1.5, to give you some leeway.

You make a good point @Dominique.  Even 40 years ago in High School my weight was in the 160-165 lb range.  And I am solidly in the normal BMI range right now, so 155 lbs is definitely on the low side for me and more a "see if I can do it" or "trying to look fitter" type goal than I "need it for health reasons" goal. I think that definitely has a bearing on all the daily (often unconscious) decisions that go into maintaining at a certain weight.

I am also finishing up a high-volume weight lifting cycle so I tell myself that the slight increase over the past 4 weeks might just be a bit more muscle.  Smiley Tongue

My weight went up since last reporting. Checked with Trendweight, which predicts I should reach goal weight in August -- not June. 😕

A bit of a discouraging turn of events... I finally splurged and bought the Aria 2 (had the 1). But my first weigh in had me at 66 kg = up at least 3 kg from the Aria 1. 🥺

Then I remembered I had been to quite a few eating events in the two days prior to weighing. Now it is down to 64.3. That is still 2 kg higher than a week ago.

I feel knocked down, but refuse to get knocked out. It's up-and-at-'em today to lose weight and get fit. So, I set a new goal, instead of 60, it's onward down to 55! Wish me luck.

I’ve finally updated my Excel sheet with daily values, weekly averages and graphs, which will make it easier to report and be accountable (I’ll try to show up every Monday from now on). I’m in week 6/12 of cutting phase during which I’am trying to lose between 0.25 and 0.50 kg per week in average. The previous cutting phase started in early June 2018 (starting level back then was 64.4 kg, i.e. about 1 kg higher than in this one).

Week 0, ending 7-Apr-19: 63.3 kg, 17.7k steps, 2827 cal.

Week 1, ending 14-Apr-19: 63.1 kg, 15.2k steps, 2635 cal. -> -0.21 kg

Week 2, ending 21-Apr-19: 62.7 kg, 18.2k steps, 2724 cal. -> -0.40 kg

Week 3, ending 28-Apr-19: 62.1 kg, 12.6k steps, 2567 cal. -> -0.64 kg

Week 4, ending 5-May-19: 62.0 kg, 21.0k steps, 2892 cal. -> -0.04 kg

Week 5, ending 12-May-19: 61.7 kg, 24.4k steps, 3117 cal. -> -0.29 kg

Week 6, ending 19-May-19: 61.4 kg, 29.2k steps, 3354 cal. -> -0.36 kg

So far I’m on schedule, though I wish I were closer to the more aggressive red curve:

I’d like to end at around 58-59 kg and stay there during the summer months.

Ouch 6 or so weeks since I last posted. Still at it. Just finished up my dieting phase and starting two months of maintenance. Kinda disappointing to only have lost a little over 8 pounds in 3 months, but I suppose I don't have as much to lose, so it is only going to get harder to knock the pounds off. The good news is my BMI is now below 30, I am no longer technically obese. Now I'm just overweight :)! I guess I will just have to wait a bit longer to get under 200. It is a marathon not a sprint.
