Weigh in 22 August:
15/8---SW 80 kilos
22/8--CW 79.7 kilos
My goal is 70 kilos. My birthday was on the 15th. My gift to myself was to get rid of this extra weight. I could have done better!

So far managing to meet my weekly fitness goals in relation to steps per day and time active, which is great! My fall down is my food intake as I am a comfort eater and stress at work has caused the chocolate to reappear. Aim for this week is to cut down on those chocolate bars and try to improve my activity more, rather than thinking of the sweet stuff maybe go for a walk? Steady pace towards my goal at the moment but expecting a bump soon!

Now for my weigh in:
Start weight 220Lbs
Today's weight 208lb
unfortunelty I haven't lost that weight since last week, despite picking up the pace on my exercise. Not sure where I am going wrong.
Still hopoefully next week's weigh in will be of a positive weight loss.

That is very interesting to know how much calories one burns in one day. I am aiming to eat less than a 1,000 calories a day. Most days it has been between 500 - 700.

@Pamala, what a beautiful gift. I see so many people who give themselves half a birthday cake, a large pizza and a case of beer for their birthday and they're upset the next week when that shows up on the scale. The attitude that being healthier is a better gift than over-indulging is a great sign that you are headed towards success! Happy birthday, see if you can get a candle to stand up in a salad 🙂

Last Week 190.0
This Week 186.8 (Morning of 8/22)
Average weigh in of 186.4, down 2.4 from last weeks average of 188.8. II had a high weigh in of 188 and a low of 185. I would like to say that I am happy about being down 2.4 lbs, but the truth is I ate very little last week and I'm sure once my mood improves and I'm making my regular meals the weight will go back up slightly.

I felt like I was carrying extra weight from my vacation the week before so I ate really lean and clean all week and it showed. I am still eating nice large meals, they are just heatlhy and balanced.

Be careful on limiting your caloric intake that much. There's lots of research out there, but when you push it that low, you ultimately push your metabolism down since your body thinks its in starvation mode. This makes it even harder to drop what you want to. Just my two cents....

This was a weird one-had an abysmal week as far as steps, but I guess that I made it up with watching my food, so I'll take that. Should be a normal week this week, so hopefully I can manage to get my entire act together. Step one? Managed to pack my lunch last night AND not foget it in the fridge this morning-no fast food or cafeteria runs today!

Thank you . I know it is low, but I so easily overeat. So the Fitbit is helping me to keep an eye on it. Also, if I put it on here, then I can see it in writing how low it is getting..

My hubby actually needs to gain weight. And he's on gluten free diet to cure his gasy problem. I am responsible for cooking, so it can be tricky to prepare food for both of us.
I was on vegetable soup diet for a while, it worked, but it could be tough. Now I mix in some lean meat.

So I can feel my all or nothing attitude trying to take over. I was reading my post from last week and talking about my ankle and foot being a little painful last weekend, and that I was going to take it a little easier this week. Well that didn't happen. On Friday I was out of town and did too much walking in a pair of shoes that I shouldn't have (ie. sandals with no padding). I was smart enough to go back and change into a pair of running shoes, but even two days later my knees are killing me.
Fitibit has set a daily calorie burn target of 3195. My personal target is around 3500. However, I notice that what I'm now trying to do is that 3500 before I go to bed (meaning I end up higher). My 7-day average as of yesterday was 3,747. So today I'm going to take it easy and just aim for the 3195, giving my knees a rest. It's a crappy day out (not raining, but feel it's going to) so although I could go out into the garden and do things, I might not.

ETA: I meant to add that I've lost enough weight (since I started tracking food) to make a reasonable estimate of my Charge HR's accuracy. It takes about a 4100 reported calorie deficit for me to lose a pound. That's taking just over 5 months of data and getting an average. Obviously this doesn't translate week to week, but that's no surprise. We all know that calorie counting is, at best, an estimate. So, combining this with the same on the fitibit resulted in about what I expected.

@TraceyC - I don't know much about gluten-free eating. However, if you make a reasonable calorie meal with say a salad on the side. For yours you can take little to no dressing. For his you could add a little cheese, a few nuts, some avocado and a higher calorie dressing.

Unfortunately a tumultuous week for my family meant that eating healthily (and logging it!) and routinely excercising went on the backburner to deal with a multitude of issues. Now going to hopefully be able to focus on logging my food consistently and maintaining my previous levels of activity.

Welcome to a new week. I have had holidays so I have missed weighing in for a while.
Just enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and caught up on all the posts.
I managed to gain a little which was to be expected as I partaked in way to much wine and cheese!
Feels good to be back to eating sensibly again.

I think this is five weeks in maintenance now. I never really admitted it to anyone other than myself, but sub 170 is in the ideal range for bmi and was my ultimate goal and I wanted to be a bit below that for a buffer. I am happy to be here but feel a little too close to the line still, I may end up losing another five slowly over time but not something I'm pushing for. I probably need to shrink portions again a bit to make that happen. Overall, I am very happy but I still get a ton of anxiety when I go away for a few days and have to come back to the scale. Hopefully in time I will learn to trust myself.

Last week: 227.0
This week: 228.0 (ARGH!!!!)
I don't get it. Really. Best week in forever activity-wise; managed to get a couple of good runs in with my times dropping for my one mile pace (something that I'm tested on for every belt cycle test for karate), and I actually logged pretty much all food. I leave myself a 300-500 calorie buffer each day for the stuff that I don't necessarily get down. We're not talking about a separate meal or snack, but things like the carrot grabbed while I'm making the kids lunches, or a stray chip or two-seriously, not much. The only thing that I can think of is that I've been running low on water, especially later on this week, and I may be dealing with some water retention due to that. Still feels like I'm spitballing without much support either for or against my causation.
I'm trying not to get discouraged and focusing on getting my mile to something sub 12 minutes, which is close, and pushing up my mileage overall, but this feels like such a let down. I haven't even really started making enough progress to stall out already!
Due to my PCOS, could it be that my actual calorie in/out equation is off? I'm averaging around 1800 cals in a day, with a goal of 2550 out, which I seemed to consistently hit. It should have gone down this morning.
Input appreciated.
