Though Fitbit One is a popular product, as we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools.
As a result, we no longer sell the One. We recommend considering the other discreet options we offer- Fitbit Zip, if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. Or, take our quiz on http://www.fitbit.com/compare to see which device meets your needs best.
We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

So far, you have offered no acceptable alternatives to the One. I will not buy another when mine dies if these are the only options. My mom and sister no longer use a tracker because their Ones died and you offer no replacement. Too bad! We were really big fans of the product!

Thanks, dianedeacon4 - great suggestion!!
For those wanting to follow Diane's recommendation, SantiFitbit provides some very clear guidance in how to vote on product suggestions. See post #546 of this thread. There are links there and everything for you to easily vote.

I have never, ever commented in web forum - just not my thing. But I am so disappointed about the discontinuation of the One that I wanted to make sure Fitbit heard my voice among the other discouraged One fans.
I am a die-hard fan of the One for two key reasons:
- It clips onto the waist (is not a wrist tracker).
- It has an altimeter to track floors.
It is unbelievably disappointing to realize that while the One has been discontinued, there is no equivalent alternative to provide the same functionality. Please, Fitbit, bring back or provide an alternative product that can meet the above two features! (The Zip is NOT an alternative. That is a very simple pedometer with a humongous pricetag. A quick internet search can find dozens of products with similar functionality for 10% of the price of a Zip.)
To the broader community - is there any non-Fitbit product out there that offers these two features in one product? I have been a huge Fitbit supporter from the very beginning. I would HATE to leave it.... But if I can't find the above two things from Fitbit, I am totally willing to go elsewhere.
Appreciate the ideas!
The closest alternatives I have found (and I also take into account established players in this market)
1) Fitbit Alta and a third party clip - downside... no floor counter
2) Garmin Vivofit 3 and third party clip - downside ... no floor counter.
My rationale is simple:
I linked my Fitbit to My Fitness Pal back when I was calorie counting to just register the steps/activity, but when it comes to measuring 'real' activity (treadmill, swimming, spinbike, cardio boxing being my main poisons of choice) I use a Polar HR monitor for a more accurate calorie count than anything the Fitbit would give me - I compared my One clipped to a sports bra against the Polar and the Polar was far more accurate in all cases with the added advantage I could go swimming with it,
Now I have been diagnosed as a diabetic, my use of MFP has changed to carb counting and not calorie counting, so really I could use anything to link, so then it came down to an Alta/Clip or Garmin/Clip combo.
The party message from Fitbit is always going to be to steer you to one of their wrist-based solutions and I think everyone is agreed the Zip is a completely inferior product. So actually that makes the decision a lot easier for us.
I don't participate in challenges, and I don't count my steps. I used the Fitbit to capture my total calorie burn in the day. Both the Alta and Vivofit do that.
I don't need to measure my HR during the day and the Polar HR monitor is my tool of choice for proper exercise.
The only thing I don't like about the Garmin is the battery has to be changed and it can't be charged up with a USB like the Fitbit products. Then again... one less cable to have to remember to pack when I travel!
So it honestly comes down to what you want - I would suggest if people are well plugged in to the community, challenges and friends in Fitbit, then work out if you really need the floors or whether steps and calories is enough. I couldn't care less about the challenges and I never accept any of them so for me it was a simple order of the Vivofit that arrived today and was super easy to set up.
Will be reviewing it for my site and will be trialling both over the next week - I had hoped my cousin had an Alta so I could get him to join in but he has a Charge HR so that was no good but I might get him to do a wrist-based review anyway in the interests of coverage and fairness.
But ultimately... once your One gives out I think resign yourself to losing access to Floors but retaining steps, calories and all that good stuff. And at the end of the day... if either of those keep you active then it's all good.

Add me to the highly disappointed list. My Fitbit One was purchased May, 2014 and I love it. It's discreet, classy looking and has great features (stairs, the flower that shows progress, etc.). It is starting to lose it's charge faster and faster so I decided to get the FitBit Zip (I hate wearing anything on my wrists) and I do not like it. It looks like a cheap child's toy. The screen is not clear and the numbers are hard to read (really? Dot matrix screens went the way of the dodo in the 80's), it doesn't tell you how many stairs you climb and there are no sleep or alarm options. I find the face icon supremely annoying.
I sincerely hope that Fitbit reconsiders discontinuing this amazing product because nothing out there comes close.

Very disappointed the One is being discontinued - I like it very much. I have no interest in wearing a wrist tracker and the Zip does not have the features I want. When it no longer functions I will be sad to have to replace it with a device from a different company.

I saw one recently on eBay for $150 and was tempted. Don't know if it's still available.

Yes, I got mine from a regular bricks and mortar store a week ago for the regular retail price of about $120.Cn. It was a case of them still having unsold stock on-hand at that location. Their corporate website doesn't list the One tracker in their product lineup anymore.
I guess there are scalpers out there for just about anything. 😕

Replying to RFS_UK message #566:
The Garmin Vivofit 3 does have an accessory belt clip that is also made by Garmin. (after market is also available)
I have posted the links to each but my post was deleted.
It does not have a floor counter but as I have stated in a previous post. I was told by Fitbit long ago that the floor count is not accurate. Once I racked up over 70 floors when running along side of a busy road.
When I inquired with Fitbit (and they brought up the passing cars) they stated that when a cars passed quickly it was recognized by the One as a floor.
As always - Good luck to all of us that love our One.

The Fitbit One has been perfect and repeatable for counting floors and miles for me since 12/26/15. So sad to see it go away with no equivalent replacement.

Well, the altimeter just quit working on my One. I seem to be stuck on four floors for today, and it will be zero from here on in.
Of course, none of the alternatives count floors. But I'm terribly concerned about what I'll do once it dies completely. I depend on my One.
