One Availability and Alternatives

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Though Fitbit One is a popular product, as we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools.

As a result, we no longer sell the One. We recommend considering the other discreet options we offer- Fitbit Zip, if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. Or, take our quiz on http://www.fitbit.com/compare to see which device meets your needs best.

Please note that we will continue to support the One and, if necessary, provide replacements for devices in warranty.

We do know there are many fans of the One who would like to discuss alternatives and have created this thread for discussion and merged a few posts together. Please keep in mind Community Guidelines when posting.

At this time, feedback has been shared on the One status and there are no plans to bring this particular tracker back at this time, we will not be able to comment further.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

Think about first before you lose $$$$$ and switch to something else. I thought MIS FIT was my answer and sunk $$$ into the battery operated thing. I’ll see if I can find a buyer on Ebay.

Thats where I found my new Fit Bit and won with a bid of $100 and that included the One,the case and the charger!! I told you that, right??

Good luck and consider the Fit Bit program which really beats out everybody (I think)

I've already replaced my One with a Flex 2, and cannot return it to the store. Just did a search for a One here and found one in the city -- being sold for $99.99. Who knows if it's actually still at that store though.

I have a Misfit Flash that I carry in my pocket alongside my Fitbit One. The fact that it has a replaceable battery means that it doesn't have to be thrown away when the battery dies. The batteries last about six months, so it doesn't need changing all that often. The Flash has outlasted my first One, and I have no doubt it will outlast my second One and also my backup third One. I carry both the because the Flash syncs to Apple Health and the One doesn't, while I have four workout friends who are friends on Fitbit but not on Misfit. Three other RL workout friends have abandoned Fitbit, and I anticipate we all will as our Fitbits fail.

I should add that I have never ever received an ad in the Misfit app, unlike the increasingly obnoxious ads in the Fitbit app. I have also never had trouble syncing, unlike the Fitbit app, or had bugs that froze my phone, which the Fitbit app seems to do with regularity.

As a One user/ fervent promoter who was turfed to this forum from another that was closed-I just want to say that I would love to see Fitbit reconsider in light of the fact that there really is no

viablw alternative for the One. It is selling aftermarket for prices double that of the original price so all Fitbit has to

do is add on a few bucks and it has an instant profitable market plus a whole wack of support from loyal customers who feel listened to. What is not to like?

Does the Misfit flash track sleep?

I bid 100$ for a One on eBay last week- it sold for $155

@JEH1  Yes, my Misfit does track sleep, and it is waterproof. It doesn't do stairs, however, but my phone does and I see all the data together in Apple Health.

Misfit was selling them for $9.99, but they're now showing as out of stock, so it is probably discontinued. I see they're still available on Amazon for $14.99, however. There are also newer devices that are more expensive.

i am very unhappy that you will not bring this popular tracker back. I've been on fitbit for 4 years.  Your new trackers are not user friendly to me and I am looking to purchase a fitness tracker from a different manufacturer because I am so dissatisfied with the choices you now offer.  I do not like to wear watches or wear a necklace/ headset when I workout.  Why would you discontinue selling something that is popular?  Is it a sales gimmick to get the consumer to spend more money for bells and whistles they don't want?

Wow! I didn't even think about selling my One. Maybe, I should do that in order to buy a Flex 2 for the summer. It was my very first Fitbit and now I wear the Charge 2.

Again, I will state my disappointment with Fitbit and how they came to the conclusion to discontinue producing and in my opinion supporting the One with no future plans on bringing it back. I understand the need to keep being innovative and moving forward, but please keep in mind that you are also alienating a large group of individuals who either cannot or will not wear a tracker on their wrist. Truth be told, if I really wanted to wear a tracker on my wrist I would have just purchased the Apple Watch in the beginning.  I am begging you to either bring back the One or a new and improved clip on tracker!

I have been a faithful Fitbit user/supporter since 2014 and I would like to continue our long and healthy relationship.

Very disappointing you have discontinued Fitbit One.

The Fitbit One is perfect for my lifestyle. I wear my tracker in my bra. The clip zip would leave such a bulge in my shirt/tops. Do you not have women working for you?

I don't wear things on my wrist as I type all day long and rest my wrists on my desk.

And again, a woman might tell you of the look of these wrist devices. They are not jewelry.  And you cannot stack like you might bracelets--these do not go well with jewelry--ruins the whole look.

Come on fitbit, give the real reason you discontinued?

Hey moderator,

every try clipping ping a zip to your bra? Thought not. Get some women on your staff whom have a say on practicalities and design, which the One has.

Hey Kate,

None of those apply. I want to wear my tracker in my bra! You know the zip doesn't work well like that. and

- I want the sleep tracker (yep, works great when worn in your bra)

- I want stair climbing tracker (I walk up and down stairs all day long)

- I want visible display as I'm not always on my phone

All in one device. Asking too much? Well the FitBit One going for $300 on Amazon says no, you already had it.

Thanks!

Hey Everyone, since Fitbit is not listening, try the Misfit shine. No screen, but otherwise similar features! Stille less than $50.

I hear ya and agree “Jogger” but if its no its no and while we’re all annoyed if it can’t be a One then we need to stop and re-group and try what else they’re offering I have found its their program that is second to what the One offers.

I’ve never seen anything like this with a company before. Nor have I ever seen so many disappointed customers in a company. I can only compare it to my former employers product “Electric” . Con Edison customers behaved in

This manner when we had really lengthly outages.

So, we are not alone and that gives hope to maybe Fitbit will reconsider!!

Hang in and check out Ebay thats where I picked up my new Fitbit alone with the case and the charger “In the box” Brandie new!!! For a bid of 101.00.

Take care my Fitbit friend.

The zip is in no way comparable to the Fitbit One...  So disappointed.  I've worn my Fitbit One 24/7 (on my 2nd) for the past 4+ years.

It's great little product. I'm covered for now but I know most likely, in the near future will be having to settle on a wrist device.
Last year I gifted a friend with Alta and they seem very well satisfied.

I'll bite the bullet if I have too but really hope the company can come up with a One alternative.

What I like most about it is the minute I walk in the door I know how man miles ran etc etc. What time I was at my best etc. Some of Fit Bits devices don't do that so you have do your homework to pick what'll work for you best.

All over Fit Bit has the best program to help stay on top of your game.. IF thats what's important to you.

Good luck with it.

What the One had that the Zip does not offer: Elevation Tracking, Sleep Tracking, Silent Alarm Vibration and Stopwatch.

My One has quit functioning properly; no matter how many times I have turned it off, turned it on, connected it to the dongle, held down the button, deleted the device and added the device it just will not sync up to the app.

In my little pea brain of a mind, I just felt as though the counting of steps was more accurate with the One tracker clipped to my waist compared to any other tracker that was worn on my wrist.

I say this because I have both a Charger (purchased 2015) and Charger 2 (purchased 2016) and noticed that when I would push a cart around the grocery store while keeping both hands on the handle of the cart, the steps just never added up.  If I am shopping and pushing a cart for 45 minutes I know that I should have earned more than 30 steps so I quit wearing the wrist trackers and went back to my trusty One.  I have begrudgingly started wearing the Charge 2 around my ankle.

If I were a Fitbit exec I would read your post and think it might be a good idea to launch a Back By Popular Demand Special One Edition!!
