Though Fitbit One is a popular product, as we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools.
As a result, we no longer sell the One. We recommend considering the other discreet options we offer- Fitbit Zip, if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. Or, take our quiz on http://www.fitbit.com/compare to see which device meets your needs best.
We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

@karensky wrote:Oh, this is my worst fear realized and such disappointing news (I guess it's not breaking news). I've used my Fitbit One every day for four years and my clip has finally worn out. I was considering getting a new device (rather than an after market clip) and now I find out you're not selling them anymore. I'm bothered by things on my wrist so the wrist devices are just not for me. The One is so slim (unlike the clunky Zip) and the battery lasts a couple of weeks (my coworkers have to charge their wrist devices every few days). Please bring back the One for those of us who don't want the wrist ones! Thanks!
Karensky, my clip broke a few months ago and Fitbit replaced it at no charge. That's actually when I found out that the One had been discontinued. They should still have some around. My One just died two days ago - no damage, no warning , just stopped working and won't take a charge. I'm so sad!

I ended up purchasing a Flex 2. It comes with the wrist strap and I purchased a third party clip and lanyard. Testing all three on the same route, I found there was only a 5% variance in my step count. Wrist placement tracked higher and the clip and lanyard about the same.
It doesn't have the display like the One, but I never looked at it that much anyway; so it really was a non-issue for me. The only thing I miss is the staircases climbed. I live in a very hilly area and it was always gratifying seeing that number.
All in all the Flex 2 has been a fine substitute for the One; although if they do bring back the One, I would purchase for the stairs climbed feature.
Edited to add: Here's a picture of the Flex 2 in the third party clip compared to my old One (RIP) for size purposes.

Another reason it I such a shame the One is discontinued (my doctor showed this study to me and suggested buying the One -do not like wrist models) "Recent research showed that wearing a fitness-tracking wristband (the FitBit One) did help overweight postmenopausal women increase their activity levels by nearly 40 minutes (and 789 steps) a week.2 Wearing a pedometer did not have such an effect."

I just don’t get it, do they not want our $? I wear my One EVERYDAY. I’m going to be very sad when ir dies. The alternatives that are being suggested don’t meet my needs. I like the stair count and INDONT WANT TO WEAR IT ON MY WRIST. FitBit are you listening??

My One died a few days ago. After a lot of soul searching I ordered the Charge 2, which I plan to somehow wear on my clothing. But if they brought back the One tomorrow I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

I think that most people give up in disgust when they find they can no longer get the device they need; few find their way to the message boards. That's the way the company wants it; those of us who care enough to seek out a place to voice our feelings can be segregated and ignored. I still think Fitbit has made a terrible mistake.

My fitbit ONE escaped from my jacket yesterday after walking to the barn-100', going in the barn, feeding Harry and putting on his fly sheet inside his stall and turning him out. Total of 5 minutes. I was walking back to the house and noticed my One had come out of it's cover. I retraced my steps and then started looking with my iPad, calling up friends who came over with their iPhones, and stayed until late in the afternoon. I had looked all through the stall, clothing, around the front of the door and expanded the area 100' out from house and barn, raking and cleaning. (I have thick mats in my stalls and soft shavings--I sifted with my shavings fork 3X before taking them outside to the pile, and went through them again.) Still nothing. FB reps said it was in my laundry. I did NOT go into my laundry yesterday. Then they said it probably fell out and was damaged on the floor of the barn. The entire barn, aisle, stalls and 20'-24' out each end of both doors have 1" rubber mats. The back doors were not opened yesterday because Harry went out the front doors to the small paddock.
Was on the phone with FB and all they wanted me to do was buy another product. 😞 There was only a 30 min time after it had synced on my laptop so we also went through the 3 rooms I was in before I went out. Nothing. I tried again today on my own and still nothing. The 'Free' FB app on my iPad kept searching and every 3 seconds ads would appear to push me paying for it.
I finally found one on Ebay from someone in the US. Most of the sellers are from China, and drop ship, but if you investigate their feedback, you can see who is actually IN the US, not getting them through an intermediary via Asia.
I'll get my new unopened box with my ONE on Monday. So disappointed in FB for NOT listening or caring about their customers.

I've been searching on how to set the alarm. Every thing I've seen has been for a silent alarm, and I'm sure I'm missing something. I clicked on the device under the gear, but it only offers silent alarms.
