One Availability and Alternatives

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Though Fitbit One is a popular product, as we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools.

As a result, we no longer sell the One. We recommend considering the other discreet options we offer- Fitbit Zip, if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. Or, take our quiz on http://www.fitbit.com/compare to see which device meets your needs best.

Please note that we will continue to support the One and, if necessary, provide replacements for devices in warranty.

We do know there are many fans of the One who would like to discuss alternatives and have created this thread for discussion and merged a few posts together. Please keep in mind Community Guidelines when posting.

At this time, feedback has been shared on the One status and there are no plans to bring this particular tracker back at this time, we will not be able to comment further.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

I recently posted that my One had finally died. Well, I  smacked it on the table in annoyance and now it's working haha! However, I  know it's on its last legs so I've gotten a Charge. What I've done  is remove the Charge from its band, squeeze it  into the One clip and rubberband it to stay in place. I wore it to a high-energy dance/lifting class and wore  it on a brisk walk. It stayed in place, counted steps and stairs, even monitored my heart rate. I guess this will be my answer when my One finally goes.

Hi MaryClare3,
Do you track sleep with your Charge 3 and if so, is it the same as the One or better?

I think you are right. The One is too good. It's such a shame they decided to eliminate the perfect tracker.

Thank you, but no. I have no need for the swimming feature because I spend my days up and down stairs. The ONE had exactly the right combination of features plus function ability (rechargeable, basic screen, easy fit in pocket or shirt).

JEH1, no, I don't sleep with it. Didn't use my One for that, either. I really don't care about the heart rate, either. Perfectly happy with the features of the One. I went for the Charge because it's the lowest priced Fitbit that counts stairs.

Are you talking about the original Charge or the Charge 2?  If original were you at all concerned about buying such an old product  even though it may have been new?  I wonder if the battery deteriorates over time even if still in the box.

It's the Charge 2 that I've purchased, not the older one. Interesting concept, though, as I was considering buying a One from eBay. Could be the same case...

Very disappointed in the decision to discontinue the One.  We (our company) jumped on the band wagon at the very start of the formation of Fitbit.  We have sold (company paying a portion) numerous Ones (along with other models) to our employees.  I guess it's time we rethink our policy since we were not even given notice of this change - what else will the company decide to do and not communicate with the corporations that have supported them over the years. Personally, if I'm going to wear a "waistband" it's going to be a form of jewelry.  I might try the zip but based on people's comments I think I will just bag it or look at other products in the marketplace.

No to zip. One was the ONE.

Please write to their corporate headquarters in San Francisco. Maybe that
will get their attention.

Mary great idea but I don't think that would work.

I think this company will realize the damage they have done to their customer base fairly soon. Because when the grim reaper takes the Ones people are currently using to the great beyond, the customer will fly away to another company, too.

They don't seem to care 😠

I did write to the company.  They suggested is use the 'Community' as, they said, they listen to the community.  They listen????  HAHA!!!

So sad about this. If they were listening/looking at these comments, they
would not be discontinuing the product. My snail mail will never be
answered, I'm sure😔😠

writing to the company, complaining here, and using social media will not make a difference. For whatever reason FITBIT (NYSE FIT) does not care about the group of ONE users. They have gone from $47 in July 2015 to below $5 today. Some brokers classify this as a penny stock. It's moved sideways since January 2017. The only way to get their attention is owning a share of stock and raising it at stockholder meetings.

"For the second quarter, however, Fitbit expects revenue will fall 19% year over year to a range of $275 million to $295 million, which should translate to an adjusted net loss per share of $0.23 to $0.27. Both figures sit well below consensus estimates, which had predicted a narrower loss of $0.10 per share on revenue of $314.2 million.

"Even so, Fitbit reiterated its guidance for full-year 2018 revenue of roughly $1.5 billion, assuming smartwatch sales comprise the majority of revenue by the second half of the year. But given Fitbit's persistent losses as it struggles to return to sustained, profitable growth, it's obvious the market wanted more. And it's no surprise to see Wall Street taking a step back today."

Thanks Chris92057,

maybe NOW the ONE comeback makes sense? A pretty cheap way to slow the losses !

Idiotic move.  I wear the One because I use my hands at work to such an extent that a wrist-based tracker is USELESS.  I also HATE anything on my wrist.  I wouldn't care if I had to pay more for a tracker I can wear on my shoe, but I want something that does AT LEAST what the One does.  The alternative shoe tracker is a toy!  I'm utterly disappointed at Fitbit's asinine move.  Not only is it popular and a great product, but they will be losing all the sales they could have had from everyone I would tell to buy the shoe tracker instead of a bulky useless wrist tracker.
