Though Fitbit One is a popular product, as we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools.
As a result, we no longer sell the One. We recommend considering the other discreet options we offer- Fitbit Zip, if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. Or, take our quiz on http://www.fitbit.com/compare to see which device meets your needs best.
We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

Hi Klipsky,
The post I was referring to is from Nadasy Number 1112 above.

Thanks for your response. When I push vote for it takes away one vote when I push a second time it resets. Most time when I vote for a response it takes away a vote rather than add a vote.

I have been using my Alta for a couple of weeks along with my One. I much prefer the One. You should not have to move your hand to get steps. Maybe they felt the One was not trendy enough, but it is much more accurate.
Sent from my Virgin Mobile Phone.
I think they were just not interested in putting the work to keep the software working with the One -- it likely costs more to keep offering the product along side the wrist wearables than it's worth.

Dear Mary438 (Recovery Runner),
I never dreamt that I would receive so many responses to a comment made on the internet. You see how easy it is to underestimate our God’s sovereignty?
I had all but stopped responding to them but how could anyone not respond to anyone with a post name like Mary438. I wonder just how many of us had a relative or other loved one named Mary. I had an aunt Mary who was a beautiful lady of great charm.
My Fitbit One continues to run along side of me as I approach my 90th birthday.
I will miss it when it can no longer make its way along with me day to day.
It is sad that I will not have the option of going to a store and ordering a replacement.
You see, Mary, my goal is to reach the age of 100 (in 2030).
It is my intention to have my Fitbit One with me when that celebration occurs. I really think it will.
Rather than waste its remaining life in the dead world of a casket, I think I will give my Fitbit One to some youngster, say about 60, and let it pace his/her final days on this glorious planet and in this wondrous Universe.
Our God really outdid Himself with this creation. I hope that you get to really see it in all its glory and magnificent design.
My wife (of 65 years 8/14/2018) and I have been blessed to see up close and first hand so very much of His creation and it makes me wonder all the more what His Heaven will be like. No more tears, no more death ….. just praising Him for the rest of eternity. I do, however, intend to ask St. Peter, however, if there is a special place for “special things” like my Fitbit One in God's Heaven.
My wife has Alzheimer's and is in Memory Care at the same facility where I am in Assisted Living.
Remember, it was He who placed the total concept of a Fitbit One into the mind of a man or woman so it could germinate into reality.
Mary, there are no accidents. When He spoke the Universe(s) into existence, He also placed the Fitbit One and all the other things that His Children would enjoy into the reality we call History. If we can’t find one today, remember, Our God is in Control and No Man knows the day of His coming.
Our God is a kind and loving God whose hearing is so great He can hear the softest whispered prayer, His sight focuses onto the flight of the smallest sparrow, His hands are so large that He can hold the entire universe in Them, His love is so great that He knows and remembers each of us by name.
Each of us is so precious in His sight that He sent His Only Son to earth as a totally Human Being but who was totally sin free, to take our sins upon Himself and pay the only Price that was demanded for the Salvation of all of us. The purist lamb to be sacrificed for us all.
As God, Himself, is the Father of our Christ, and the Christ is our Messiah, and the only human being truly Sin Free (It was Adam's sin of disobedience Passing only through the Human Father and not the Mother). Never put credence in anyone that says that God was not Christ’s Father for they put **ahem**ation on their own heads as they are still under the penalty of the Law with no hope of Salvation.
"Blessed are you, Mary, Mother of our Brother and Savior, for you have found favor with God."

I'm going to add my sentiments too...I'm sad about the Fitbit One being discontinued. when my last Fitbit One died, I purchased a new Fitbit One from a seller on Amazon, but in general, the Fitbit's battery is draining a lot (yes I've read instructions on how to protect the battery) and since the last app code upgrade, syncing to the app is harder and harder (i.e. I have to reset the Fitbit a couple of times a week).
Due to the frustrations with charging and syncing I'm pondering another pedometer.
Fitbit...I know it has been some time since the One has been discontinued, but please reconsider.

While I understand there is a work around (buying the alta and using an off brand clip) because no one seems to like the Zip, all the stuff I see is how popular the One was and yet you still got rid of it? there are a LOT of people who don't like things on their wrist. The zip is going the opposite direction of the streamline look you guys keep telling me that you are going toward. Please reconsider bringing back the one or something similar.

My one is still working, although the time between charges is getting shorter, so I assume it is starting to fade away. When it does I will replace it with something from another manufacturer. I will not give Fitbit another nickle. I think this is my fourth one (I have managed to lose or wash three of them... you'd think I'd learn. LOL) and my wife is on her second. But they will be our last fitbit products unless they come up with a clip on with all the features of the one. I also have a smart watch that counts steps and I can tell you that the step count on the watch is much lower than the one. Mowing my lawn is usually good for about 3500 steps on the one, on my watch I am lucky if it registers 1000, so I am not interested in a device worn on the wrist. Sure wish Fitbit would reconsider, but it appears that isn't going to happen.

Hello Legolady 76,
I do the same as Mary438 and do not update anymore. Fitbit isn’t interested in the One so it stands to reason they wouldn’t be updating to benefit the One- In fact, the updates tend to have a negative effect on the One.

I needed to upgrade my app when my iPhone would not read what the One was displaying.
It is a sad state of affairs when a company does. not listen to, and react to, it's customer's concerns.
Addition ally that this community had to learn that Fitbit was discontinuing the O)ne on. a community board and not give us a "so much by your leave."

Update for those reading: I'm considering Garmin Vivoactive 3 and their foot pod. The foot pod which to many of their wrist activity trackers.
Food Pod Information:
Monitor your distance and cadence when indoors, such as on a treadmill or a track at the gym, or when out of GPS range with your wrist-worn device and this foot pod. Also provides distance and cadence data when used with the FR70 series.
Small enough to attach to your shoelaces or fit in the mid-sole pocket of compatible shoes, the foot pod is always ready to use. A small, replaceable watch battery powers the foot pod for a year of training.
Unlike simple pedometers, this foot pod uses advanced MEMS inertial-sensor technology to analyze your movements and is responsive to stride-length changes to achieve 98 percent accuracy for speed and distance.
