Up until yesterday, I had a function on my Fitbit Charge 3's app to be able to set a silent alarm. I just went into my app again now, because I needed to set an alarm to get me up for an early start at work tomorrow, and the Alarm setting part of my app has completely disappeared.
When I go into my app and click on Charge 3, the only things it lists for me now are "Wrist", "Notifications", "Reminders to Move", "Main Goal", and "Exercise Shortcuts". There is no mention whatsoever of "Alarms" as there used to be (which I think previously was listed before "Notifications"). Why might this be, and how am I to set an alarm for my Fitbit now please?
I've tried exiting out of the app and going back in again, turning my iPad off and back on again, and uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app, but there is still no Alarm setting option as there had been previously.

Really you can set daily repeats? Can you please walk me through that? I can only reset each day by tapping ‘on’ from ‘off’.

First check we’re both taking the same version in “settings/about” 28.20001.8.8.11.
Then back to “alarm” Tap on the alarm you’ve set e,g. 6:15. Then scroll it up to see “smart wake” and “repeats”. You can tap on what days you want.

This update makes no sense as it's infuriating many Fitbit users who loved the ability to set an alarm from the app. It's crazy to set if from the watch. It's so small and cumbersome. How could a major change like this get through? Surely they would do extensive testing and ask users? This is a backwards move. Not a good user experience.
A more intelligent upgrade would have been to give the user the ability to choose where they preferred to set an alarm from. Either from the app or the phone. Have a user option and then everybody is happy and that is a positive proactive forward thinking upgrade, rather than some crazy backwards move that is annoying the users.
Is it possible to go back to the previous software version so that we can keep the alarm settings on the app? Surely this should be an option.
Please advise.

Taking the ability to set the alarm off of my phone is the last straw with Fitbit. When my charge 3 dies, and it will, I am done with Fitbit. It is a royal pain in the **ahem** to set an alarm on the device.

I was frustrated as well however if you go to alarms in your actual device - you can set repeat or certain days by swiping up. Please review the thread as some have provided this solution.
FitBit as a company should have provided step by step instructions or perhaps polled its users before the upgrade and inquired as to preferences. Agreed that having both options would have been more accommodating. Their customer support team was not knowledgeable upon inquiry, and the responses I have received for a solution is exclusive to this community - which is essentially volunteer work.

Put the app back on the phone please. Setting it on the Fitbit is a major pain.

Hi, Do you have the "Alarms" app installed?
Tap Your user(top left on the app)
Then tap your device
Then tap Apps
Tap Alarms and see if its installed

I used to set multiple alarms, now it’s hard for me to set these alarm by Fitbit device, so please put the alarm back to use it by phone, because don’t see any reason to remove it from the phone.
Thanks

It is now exclusively on the device. Earlier responses give you the know how.

Here is from an earlier response:
From the device, tap on the alarm you’ve set e,g. 6:15. Then scroll it up to see “smart wake” and “repeats”. You can tap on what days you want.

I agree. I use the silent alarm on my fitbit 3 every day and it is my favourite feature. Fitbit pls bring back the ability to set alarms via app ASAP

I second this. I have a real issue with this change too. I was so used to setting my alarm on my phone and I hate the small screen on my Fitbit where the touch option doesn’t always work well. #Fitbit why delate a perfectly good option? Shouldn’t you done the research asking users if this is a good idea? It’s a serious commercial decision! Whoever came up with this idea was not considering people with visual impairments, so discriminating! I don’t get frustrated often but this really upsets me. I’m switching to a different smart watch.

I can't find the alarm icon on my Charge3. I used my Fitbit for a silent alarm everyday and am now looking for what I am going to replace it with. Really unhappy with the "upgrade". Anyway to go back to the old system?

The display is better for me on auto rather than normal.
Then it gets brighter when I’m outside.
