Up until yesterday, I had a function on my Fitbit Charge 3's app to be able to set a silent alarm. I just went into my app again now, because I needed to set an alarm to get me up for an early start at work tomorrow, and the Alarm setting part of my app has completely disappeared.
When I go into my app and click on Charge 3, the only things it lists for me now are "Wrist", "Notifications", "Reminders to Move", "Main Goal", and "Exercise Shortcuts". There is no mention whatsoever of "Alarms" as there used to be (which I think previously was listed before "Notifications"). Why might this be, and how am I to set an alarm for my Fitbit now please?
I've tried exiting out of the app and going back in again, turning my iPad off and back on again, and uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app, but there is still no Alarm setting option as there had been previously.

Had mine on auto and tried normal but it is still dim. I chatted with tech support and after a couple resets that didn’t help...they are sending me a new one! Warranty was 3 days past the year date but the issue started earlier. Also had a choice of a different model at 50% off but went with the free charge 3. Great service 😲

Thank you to whoever said to "swipe left." I had no idea there was a swipe left function! Very frustrating rollout of this update. Made so much more sense to do alarms on the phone app. Did FitBit even test this with real people? Especially real people who wear glasses?? This one less-than-satisfactory experience will make me look at other trackers when I am ready to upgrade from my Charge 3. There are so many trackers out there now, but I've been loyal to FitBit (this is my third one) for years.

On the screen where you see "Alarm on," the next one down is "Smart Wake On," you can choose to turn that on or off. Keep scrolling down and you'll see each day of the week where you can choose "on" or "off." If you choose all the days of the week, it will finally show as "Repeats Every Day." Good luck!

The current update on the tracker to allow you to set the alarm was an supposed to be an upgrade, but taking away the ability to set alarms on the app made it a downgrade. Fitbit please add the ability to set the alarm back on the phone app

It’s completely unclear why you would move such functionality to the tracker itself only. The app functionality allowed smooth and quick setting of multiple alarms while now it’s on a tiny display only. I guess the app functionality will come back, but only as a chargeable Premium feature.

We we all know that Fitbit wants to be acquired by Google. Is it possible that the latest update may be related? Could it be that Mgt. is molding the software to allow Google to collect information from Fitbit users so as to monetize Fitbit users data to spy and generate income? My thought is speculation but has anyone offered any legitimate reason why you would take an easy to use easy to see function off of the phone app and replaced it with a much inferior function on the Fitbit?

@LuvQualityProd I suspect the reason is much more mundane.
There was a very popular feature request that asked Fitbit to allow us to set alarms on the tracker to avoid the need to sync when setting alarms. People - rightly, in my view - suggested that it was silly to need internet access just to set an alarm on your watch.
So, Fitbit did what was asked and allowed setting of the alarms on the tracker. What was not asked for was the removal of the ability to set alarms on the app. It would have been much better had they allowed alarms to be set on both the fitbit and app and there are now feature suggestions asking for this.

This worked. I was missing the swiping piece to find the alarm settings. I have set successfully for an alarm everyday at the same time. Thank you.

I had the charge 2 and now the 3. I was very disappointed with this one: screen is terrible, you can set "no HR" but it keeps the green light on all the time (confirmed by Fitbit that this is the intended behavior)... And now this! Congratulations Fitbit, making more difficult to manage the only reason why I still use your product (silent alarm).

@Claus2y2 I agree it's a bit tricky and I would like it on my phone too. But you can set minutes.
Swipe to the hour you want and tap the hour.
Then minutes will come up.
Swipe to the minute you want and tap the minute,
then tap am or pm.

The biggest issue with setting it on the fitbit was that the brightness died and I could barely see it. Fitbit has since sent me a new one since it was under warranty! Now I can see to set it. Still prefer it to be on my phone app for multiple settings.

Does anyone know how to delete a timer now that it is only manageable on the Charge 3? After entering more than 2 or 3 alarms, it is really cumbersome to add new ones.

Timers or alarms? Timers are refreshed every time. Alarms you can delete if you tap it, swipe up and tap the rubbish bin.

Thanks Ogravity. This worked for me, but it took a little additional effort to figure it out.
After tapping the alarm, the watch face shows the alarm on/off status, and an arrow to toggle the alarm on/off. Swipe up, and the menu changes to Smart Wake On/Off and a Repeats On/Off status. Swipe up again and the rubbish bin appears. Tapping the rubbish bin deletes the alarm.
Not nearly as usable as the app-based alarm management, but it will have to do until Fitbit releases a real fix.

Please bring back silent alarms to the app. I hate it on the device only. I use the app for everything not the device. I need it on app. Thanks

I keep hearing the users demanded/asked for it yet I see no asks for band only. This was horribly implemented. Supposedly from these same posts I see the excuse of oh alarm wouldn't work if wasn't synced etc. I call bs on that if its true you can set up alarms on the dashboard. I'm like many users infuriated and frustrated at the change.
The app you can set up 5 different alarms reoccurring in under 30 seconds. The band gooooooood luck. Huge back step yet "super" users are claiming all the users have always wanted it that way....wrong this isn't an improvement. Its negatively impacted a vast number of users so many so badly they'll never buy another fitbit product again.
