Is there any way to make it so the Charge 2 display will only turn on if pressing the button? I have already disabled the quickview, but it is not sufficient.
Reason being, I am doing construction and the constant jerking motion of my hands (hammering, holding boards while nailing, demolition, etc.) will frequently turn on the display, as if I am tapping it. This significantly reduces the battery life. I want it so I "must" press the button when I want to view the time or stats.
Thanks for the help.

@SevenFourtyTwo I hope you're doing well! Sadly your case is an special one. Disabling the quick view feature should work for most of the users but as you describe that using the machinery and the different things you do make the tracker think that you are actually tapping it it will keep turning on. What you could do is try wearing your tracker a little bit tight so it isn't bouncing around your wrist. Another thing you could try is reducing the vibration by wearing maybe a sports wristband so your tracker won't feel much of the movement from the tools.
If you do try these suggestions I would appreciate if you could let me know about your experience.
I look forward to your reply.

Hi Alvaro,
Thanks for the quick response and the suggestions. I already wear it pretty tight and I use the sport band. As for being a special case, I'll have to disagree. There are plenty of trades that aren't desk jobs... If there is no way to turn it off in the app, why not make a firmware change and add a toggle in the app similar to the quickview? Is there anything I can do to help push this through? Thanks.

Has there been a solution to this developed yet? It lights up when I applaud at the theater which is super distracting to my fellow audience members. I held on to my regular charge for years because I could set it to only display when you push the button. Is there another model that you will only display when you press the button?
Thanks

Have you turned off Quick View in Settings? Go to the Fitbit App Dashboard and click on the Account Icon at the upper right and then on Charge 2. Turn off "Quick View" and sync your tracker.
