Had my charge2 for a week and it won’t track the deep sleep rem and the stages it to track when I’m sleeping.   What do I do to fix it.

My Alta Hr stopped tracking sleep stages about 2 weeks ago. It worked for over a year and nothing has changed. I contacted support and reset my fitbit, but it still didn't track. Support said they are aware of the problem and that they're working on it, but still no change. Very frustrating. Looks like it time to switch brands.

When Fitbit is really aware of this problem and working since month on it, why don't they have a notification in each community?

Strange, I assume they changed something with their staff and nobody can solve it. To much problems!

Good thing,  for a lot of people the Fitbit are 100% perfect!

End!Now free time!

I would think that they have been working on this problem long enough to
have come up with the solution. It seem to me that they are not really
trying. Like you say it works for most, so for us that it doesn't ,we don't
count.

They just don't care. Fake responses in chat is all they have to provide.

I will not buy a fitbit again.

Unfortunately, that seems to be the case.  ☹

Looks that way. The same problems have been reported in the forums for other sleep tracking devices for a very long time with no resolution. But FitBit are still advertising these features and still selling these devices to an unsuspecting public.

Very unhappy with FitBit.

got stages first nite, none since (week+). Then put it underneath wrist last two nites and got them...?

Followup: When I put it on the inside of the wrist I get stages without exception, when I leave it upward at nite=no stages. FYI

Update! My battery was dying. HR 2 finally quit working. When I purchased a new one it is tracking sleep stages. So it may have been it was just getting old.

Yeah well mine is only a year old and the sleep tracking hasn’t worked well in months. Do you work for the company?! These are NOT cheap!

I’ll never buy another one!

Best Answer
No. I don't work for the company. My was a little over a year old and out of warranty. I'm not sure what the deal is, but it's frustrating. I just know my fitbit died after about a month of it not tracking so I thought a dying battery might be the reason.

Oh a big pharma retired exec? I guess you can afford to continuously
replace them. Most of us cannot. Yeah a rechargeable battery should last
more than a year!

I’m a very nice person. Is what I said not true? I’m just very frustrated
that a device that’s suppose to work, doesn’t. It would be understandable
if the device cost $30.

I’m sure Fitbit enjoys having you as a customer and you can simply buy
another device instead of standing with the rest of us who have the same
problem.

Now I get an email from Fitbit saying, “preorder the NEW Charge 3”!

I hope your new Fitbit works as it’s advertised it’s supposed to.

not breaking into stages

Jeez! Why all the hate?! I'm just a single mom with neverending student loans. I was just trying to offer, what I thought might be, an explanation as to why my HR 2 stopped tracking my sleep stages

I'm not sure if you're addressing me, but I did stand with all the others. I have complained, called Fitbit, and written on this blog. I agree. The fifbit should last longer than a year. Unfortunately, it did not. When I purchased a new Fitbit, I noticed that the sleep stages were working again. So I simply thought that one explanation might be that the sleep stages may start failing when the battery life is beginning to die.
