I just tried to re-pair with my Charge 2 but it failed and then I got a message saying the Fitbit Bluetooth service is "busy".    This is not something I have seen before.    But currently I cannot pair with my Fitbit and therefore cannot sync.   Very frustrating.

Is there a general issue with the fitbit bluetooth service?

@Sueywoo @KatyMVM Thanks for stopping by! You will need to go to the app and tap account there you will see the option to pair a device, follow the instructions to setup your tracker again. If you are getting issues with the bluetooth try restarting it on your phone (wait 1 minute before turning it back on) or restart the phone itself and then restart your tracker (regardless if it is paired or not) by doing the following:

Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.

Let me know how it goes!

Somehow my Fitbit c2 got unpaired so I've just moved and can't find the box to get  it paired... I'm looking for a way to get it synced  with the app with out the 4 digit number?

I tried this and it is still not syncing.  It is irritating since I depend on this to see text messages and phones calls being received.

@JJ52 It's great to see you in the Community!

Let me help you pairing your tracker again to your account and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Let's try to clearing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.

@Lars-of-D Thanks for being part of our Community!

Let me help you with your Charge 2. What type of issue are you having. Where are you looking the pairing option and for what reason Do you need to setup your tracker? If so you can follow these instructions. If you need to sync it then try these instructions.

I look forward to your reply.

I did this and it worked. I accidentally told my phone to forget my fitbit. Make sure to plug in your fitbit and press & hold the button. At the same time, have your fitbit app open on your phone on the “set up a device” screen.

From there, the screen should prompt you to provide a code that will appear on your fitbit screen. Best of luck!
