Charge 3 - Black line across top of screen

My watch shows a small black line across the screen at the top, where the step count is on some faces and where the battery sign is when you open the stats.

 

tried resetting multiple times, doesn’t work.

I have the same issue. Firstly a few lines but now the top half of my screen is completely black so I can't even see the time never mind use the watch properly.

 

Please advise on what I must do as this is really annoying as I've been brand loyal for a while and this is the first major issue I'm having.

Minds gone like that. Not worth using it can't seeing anything.Sounds like a common fault

My screens been bad for a little while now, occasionally going completely black, which sometimes needs a restart to fix sometimes fixes itself, I have had to change the face a few times to make the time readable due to missing pixels, but this hasn't fixed the issue and neither has restarting. However upon trying to do a long restart mine isn't loading a bar or anything.

I finally did a chat with customer service. It took a long time, but I did get my replacement. What a difference it makes!  I can actually see the screen now and I can read it!

It is annoying!  You should chat with customer service. They will trouble shoot it with you then should send you an email offering a free replacement or 50% off something else. I took the replacement. Mine arrived the other day. It is soooooo great being able to read and see the screen again! That’s my suggestion. You won’t be sorry. 😃

Perhaps i should do that then.Charge usually lasts 7 days now only lasting 2 days.More black lines across screen

I have tried a restart and changed clock faces a few times Yet I still have the line.. what else can I do please?

Not a lot!  It's just a faulty product.  Suggest you contact Customer Service for a replacement.

Get rid of fitbit and go with another company. Try one that stands behind their product and doesn't sell something that knows this issue is a problem for just about every hr3 they sell. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

My Fitbit charge 3 also has this black line across the top which blocks out the number of steps. It is really annoying. Surely Fitbit can do something about this fault and put out an update to resolve the fault!

It's been happening since the hr3 came out and they won't do anything to fix the problem or reimburse you. They offered me 25% off a new one when it happened to my 3rd replacement  i bought a Samsung to fix the problem. I won't replace a problem with a problem Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Thanks for the Samsung suggestion. This is my second one, had the Charge 2 and that lasted 18months, for the Charge 3, and hey it lasted 16 months... Charge 3 currently has lines, bouncing back and forth from screens all on its own, and vibrating without touching it. Tried everything they suggested, but only made it worse each time. They only 35% off To get my third Fitbit- don’t think so!

I'm sorry but I find it amazing that the first post was created 2018 and yet, the problem still exists. My Charge is about a year and a half old, and just started doing this after a charge. I have rebooted, re installed but no luck. But I have not and will not upgrade the tracker because after reading all of the posts about it having severe problems after upgrading, and rendering the tracker useless, I refuse to take the chance. My husband still wears my old Blaze bought in 2016 so this only tells me, product quality has diminished considerably during this time. I will not be replacing my Fitbit with another.

In my view - very worth contacting them. I'd a great customer service when I contacted them and they sorted my issue very quickly and I was happy with the outcome
