Charge 3 Blank Screen, Unresponsive, Wont Charge

Hello Fitbit Community!

I am now regrettably in possession of two Charge 3's, bought less than a week apart that "went dark" within 24 hours of unboxing & easily (compared to previous models) pairing/synching them with my iPhone 5s. This gift was meant to replace my current HR Charge. But sadly, it has not gone well. Initially, they behave normally. However, both Charge 3 screen's became unresponsive with over 40% battery life remaining. The screens do not respond to swiping, button pushing, charging and cannot be reset. I have had many Fitbit products in my life since 2015 and never has this poor of a performance. After all, I was so confident that the first Charge 3's issue was a fluke, I quickly bought another. Clearly a mistake as I have not fared any better with numero dos. What to do?

Hello,

I also tried using the app to change the clock face as a means of
reconnecting my Fitbit to my app. Some have success with this process when
their Bit is acting up.

Otherwise, if it's been less than a year, you are in good standing to
receive a free replacement from Fitbit.

Best of luck!

I just got mine today, it connected then immediately started the update, kept failing the update and now just has the empty progress bar on the screen. Won't respond to anything, even charging. I love fitbits but this is ridiculous!

Can somebody help?

Hi, there,

I seem to have the same issue with my Charge 3.....completely black, will not charge, does not vibrate when the battery clicks on the charger, will not respond to the reset button being pressed.  What do I do?

My Charge 3 will not charge or reset while connected to the charger. I can't do the update because the battery is too low. I can't figure out what;s wrong. Please help. Thank you.

I called customer service and within 3 days had a replacement. Seems to be a common issue with it.

My Charge 3 (only a year old) just went dark yesterday and will not charge up or respond?  Any way to revive it?  Not a great product if it only lasts a year.

Any luck? Just contacted support tonight because the Charge3 I got last year as a gift went black on me....I was offered 25% off. I havent even used my Charge3 in nearly 6 months. This is so disappointing....has anyone found a viable workaround?

I threw it away. It was a piece of junk. It wasn’t worth my frustration.

I agree. Mine is in the garbage. I bought an apple watch. Fitbit sucks.

Buy an apple watch. Throw the fitbit away. They are useless.

Purchased my Charge 3 thirteen months ago - just out of the warranty period - and it just went completely dead. Put it on the charger as usual and it started freaking out -vibrating, flashing, getting very hot, then nothing!

I had a Charge 2 that the face spontaniously cracked also just out of warranty and replaced it with the C3. It seems that the Charge series only works for about a year before going into self destruct mode.

Now to decide whether to replace it with another fitbit product or get something else that is known to be more reliable!.

Fitbit did replace my original one that had the issue, but now the current one randomly stops logging my workouts. It will be my last fitbit.

Yep, that's it! I was able to get a replacement under warranty. This one is starting to act up too. It will be my last one.
