Has the screen dimmed after an update or something? It used to be bad, now it's almost useless.
Normal is ok if I cup my hand over it.
Auto works, but is still really dim in bright light.
Dim is non-existent.
It didn't used to be like this. Been horrible for a few weeks.

Mine was only 6 months old so I took it back to the shop and they exchanged it for an Inspire HR. Works great.
Best AnswerThe solution offered only works if you can see something on your Charge 3. I can see absolutely nothing, so how do I know if I'm in settings and how to navigate through? This is junk and I will not recommend a fitbit to anyone,
Best AnswerNo worries either way. I'm hoping the solution that worked for me might help someone else. 🤷:female_sign:
Best AnswerThis worked for me I went to settings and mine was set to dim, it was that simple no reset etc. needed.
Frustrating. Even after a replacement sent out and I gave it awhile with reset still dim outside where can't read. Many folks have had this issue so seems like no beta testing in different scenarios. Also, went to get the interval timer activated which is a cool feature since it has a dual function, but noticed the rest and move/active times were reversed from what I programmed via my Android Samsung A50 on the Fitbit Charge 3. Best AnswerI tried this method. It did not work for me. After I uploaded the new update . On my screen the only then you can really make out now is the first digit of the time. It works beautifully until I uploaded. Any suggestions I absolutely love my Fitbit and I've only had it since last July. It is a charge 3
Best AnswerThank you very much for your advice. I just fixed my screen and it works beautifully again !thank you very much
Best AnswerMine started getting duller by the day. I just did the new update and now my screen is completely black! Tried the hard reboot several times with no luck. It is syncing and doing steps--but is worthless with reading anything on the display. Online chat was useless
Best AnswerMy screen was in sleep mode. Tried to swipe to settings as someone recommended to change brightness but that was not an option. I kept swiping on the watch and came to screen sleep or awake. I clicked the light bulb and woke my screen. All is fixed now and is bright as the day I bought it.

Best AnswerThey offered me a coupon on a new one, since I’m past the warranty. Not great service, and it still seems like they bricked it in a recent update.
Guess I’ll go back to wearing a watch and the Fitbit will just be for sleep and workouts.
Best AnswerThis is my experience, too. I've done several restarts, and charged it via PC since the upgrade, but no improvement. In fact, every day it gets worse. More and more of the screen is getting dimmer, like a slow wipe from top to bottom.
