Charge 3 Issues

Have had a Charge 3 for about 2 months and have already had more issues with it than the entire time I used my Charge 2. What is Fitbit doing to address the ongoing issues we all seem to be having. Definitely wouldn't recommend that anyone purchase a Charge 3.

Just returned a charge 3.

Wouldn't pair with my android phone  or apple Ipad.

After a very long and tedious setup which included a firmware update the device worked for just one hour. And then , with a fully charged battery, the screen just went blank with  a horizontal line thru the middle.

Could not get it to do anything after that . Tried everything . i thought it was strange that after setup i could not pair it with the app on my phone. i do not intend to replace it. lppks like they still have problems with it.

Been over 2 years since I started this post. I gave up on my fitbit long ago. I still get new posts every week from frustrated people. Its obvious they are not going to fix it. I use a Garmin now.

I returned mine too and was told it has now been discontinued. About time
and just as well as I did not want a replacement either!!
Mine had literally died after 6 months!

Haha.... They are probably grumpy at me constantly telling people to buy a Garmin. 😂

Mine died after about nine months. And I was told months ago that Fitbit would issue a fix. I have not heard anything from the company since. I have really soured on Fitbit.

 This has been on my screen for over a week now. I tried resetting it several times but it didn't do anything but go back to this screen. My app can't even connect to it anymore. Anything I can do to fix this?

I tried everything. The Charge 3 is defective. We should all be given a
refund or fix. Neither one seems to be in the works.

I joined the Fitbit community June 2019. I had to my Charge 3 replaced 4 times. Finally on 8-16-2020 I asked the customer support associate if I was getting new replacements or refurbished Charge 3. I was told it was refurbished. The associate told me that the refurbished Charge 3 was tested and sent to the customer. Mind you I purchased the 2 year warranty when I purchased the Fitbit Charge 3. I totally disagreed that the Fitbit Charge 3 was tested. Long story short, I just received a new Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition today 8-19-2020. I had to purchase a new device at 50% off, another warranty. I'm going to give it another try. I'm just praying that I won't have problems with this "new" device.

 

I did purchase a Charge3 SE. We'll see how this goes.

I hope you have better luck than I did. Mine died in under a year. The
company said it would issue
a fix but never did.

Hi you are so right. Mine died 8n one day. Got a cheap Chinese nock off for $49 and it has worked for over a year. Thought the charge 3 would be a step up. What a disappointment. And Best Buy would not take it back. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

I have been trying to download an update and it never completes.  I am unable to track food or scan UPC codes.  Very frustrating!  This is my 3rd fitbit and if not fixed soon, my last!  I have tried suggestions on this page but still won’t download.

Don't waste your time. Get a Garmin and move on. That's what we're all doing. 🙂

I hear you!  Don't get me wrong - I loved my Charge 3. It's just that it wouldn't work! At least the basic Garmin I have now works and is reliable. 🙂

I finally got the update to download yesterday. It seems to be working right now. Time will tell! This is my third Fitbit and I really hope the fix will take care of the problem.
