Charge 3 Issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Have had a Charge 3 for about 2 months and have already had more issues with it than the entire time I used my Charge 2. What is Fitbit doing to address the ongoing issues we all seem to be having. Definitely wouldn't recommend that anyone purchase a Charge 3.

Same experience with Charge3. Started out well. Upgraded to Fitbit Premium. Now the device is defective. The screen is not visible -- completely gray and segmented gray/white. Impossible to read. The device is 13 months old, so just outside the 1 year warranty. Just renewed subscription to Fitbit Premium for the year. Talked with customer support. Rebooted twice. Not effective. They offered a 35% discount on a new purchase. I'm not happy with that if I'd end up with the same defective product. They also could not refund the unused 11 months on the Fitbit Premium subscription.

I would not recommend buying a Fitbit product. Get something that works -- on both the hardware and software side.

14 months for me but I'd had trouble before and when they wouldn't replace, I bought a Garmin. Sorry you invested in Fitbit Premium. Fitbit is just a waste of money.

They have done absolutely nothing about all the problems I've had with my charge3 and I agree the charge 2 wasnt as bad. Comical but true my charge 3 screen just went blank and they have no idea how to fix them but they will gladly offer a 35% discount towards a new tracker. So if you buy a fibits, it's around $150 but only last maybe if you are lucky a year and a half. Why sell products if you have no clue how to fix them.

Don't waste your money!!! I've owned 2. The charge 2 and 3. The problem is when something goes wrong they have no clue how to fix any of the problems on any tracker. You can't take it anywhere and get it fixed either. . The only thing you'll get is a discount to buy another tracker lol!

Hi Alejandra.

I have had my Charge 3 since April. System would not accept my yahoo email address.

I have set up a new account with a Gmail address, replied to the verification email and nothing further.

94% charged but when i press set up my fitbit it does nothing.

Hope you can help.

regards Greg.

This did not help me, unfortunately. My charge 3 wont turn on. After keeping it plugged in it was frozen on a screen with. The diamond and 100, on it. Then when I followed the directions above, it briefly showed a smiley face, and went blank. Now it seems the screen wont turn on.

Prior to trying this, it was recomended to me to uninstall and reinstall the app on my phone. I did but that didnt help.

Any answers???

Dont do it. Within weeks of having the charge 3 the charging process became a nightmare. I have to juggle around the connection for ages before it actually starts working. Also the face of the watch has got black lines across it so I can't even see the time. I never had these problems with the charge 2.

not such a good idea. I had it for 2/3 years plenty of problems the support solves one or two and after you are out by yourself.

I have had it for 2/3 years and multiple issues. Mostly it worked fine now at some point of my walks it stops recording the steps. Called assistance and support, they made me do a couple of manipulations and it started working again, but later it stopped again and again. No further help from fitbit support.

Not really a good product.

I now on my 3rd charge 3 and they’ve all lost the screen visual. I did some of the fixes suggested but none worked.  This is soooo frustrating.  Does Fitbit offer any real fixes tr replacementOr any meaningful recourse?

In had some problems before and while still under warranty it was replaced.
Other than that my Charge 3 now often comes to an alt a STOP and stops
recording steps. I keep walking but the numbers do not move...called first
time they made me do some things and it restarted. Called second time and
she had other troubleshooting.

Basically they ended by just saying : WE DO NOT KNOW 1-WHY IT DOES THIS. 2-
WE HAVE NO CLOU ON HOW TO FIX IT. YOU ARE OUT OF WARRANTY SO YOU ARE ON
YOUR OWN GOOD LUCK!!!

It looks like they do not offer real fixes or replacement or meaningful
recourse.......
I keep using it and restarting it but for sure if that is how it is after
just a couple of years I have no reason to buy another one.
I guess they do not care they must be really succesful other wise......
