Charge 3 black screen

Sometime between 6am-10am my Fitbit Charge 3 just stopped working. The screen is black and the button is unresponsive. I have had issue in the past few weeks where it would randomly do this but only for a few minutes at a time. It has now been hours and my Fitbit never turned back on. I followed the steps in the troubleshooting and plugged my Charge 3 into my PC but it still never turned back on.

Please help!

they are sending me a replacement because mine wasn't even a year old. This will be my 3rd. one in 4 years. Hope I have better luck this time and if I don't, I'm done with FITBIT..

When I called them twice it hadn’t been a year that I owned it. Unfortunately it is now over a year so I doubt they will do anything. I guess the screen going so dim that I can only read it in a pitch black room wasn’t enough to get a replacement. I kind of feel that they told me to wait for an app update to fix it knowing that I was getting close to the one year mark.

I was looking at new ones the other day but $150 seems pricey for something that appears to fail rather quickly.

Thanks

So I called. I was told it is out of warrant since I’ve had it over 360 days even though I had contacted them twice before the 360 day warranty was up telling them the screen was so dim I could only read it in a completely black room.

I was told that it was a different issue that isn’t covered under the warranty and was offered a 25% discount that expires in 30 days.

So I call twice telling them I can’t read the screen due to it being very dim, they tell me to wait for an app update that will fix it, it no longer works at all and I’m two months over the warranty now.

Even with a 25% discount I can’t see buying another. The screen was so dim I couldn’t read it after 6 months. The band broke and I paid 100% to replace it. And customer service wouldn’t help me until I told them the screen is now dead. I’ll spend my $ on something else. Plenty of other trackers on the market.

Thanks

Eric

Should I just suck it up and get a versa lite for $119? Is that a good deal?

Thanks

If any of you who are having warranty issues live in Australia, you have longer than 12 months warranty.. Talk to consumer affairs.

Nothing has worked for mine either. It froze at 6:18 this morning, it’s been tracking everything to my app, when I got home I put it on my charger and did the force reset and now I can’t get anything to display. It’s just a black screen and now my app says it’s not connected.

I have had the black screen for the last couple of days, it started this about a week ago, at first i was able to get the screen in faintly after multiple attempts, now it just stays black, I know that it is syncing and showing fully charged. I have tried doing the restart like you say, with no success, it just stays black. Please let me know how I can resolve this problem because I really need to read the time on my watch when I am at work.
