Charge 3 blank display

It seems my Charge 3 broke down last evening after some 6 days of usage. At around 22:30, when I was reading in bed, it vibrated shortly as if there was a notification. The screen stayed black though; there is no display. From that moment on the Charge 3 has been unresponsive. Screen as well as button doesn't react to touch or presses any more. The heart rate sensor is emitting light constantly (green all the time, instead of slow flicker).

Connecting it to the charger doesn't change anything: no charge indication and symptoms stay the same. So no way to reboot either.

What to do next?

I'll contact my supplier in the evening, have a busy day at work today

HR sensor on all the time...HR sensor on all the time...button and screen don't react to touch or pressesbutton and screen don't react to touch or presses

Well I’ve had this issue all day today. I have had my Fitbit Charge 3 since Christmas and had no problems until I got caught in some bad rain yesterday. The Fitbit Charge 3 is supposed to be water resistant up to 50m but after mine got wet it was buffery/slow. This morning the screen was just black but the button still vibrates. I put it in rice and on charge and nothing happened. Left wondering what else I could do I changed the clock face and the screen came right back no problem!

Mine too! I have a clock screen with heart rate but can’t swipe up or down or access steps, exercises etc. very annoying!
Hoping they’ll take it back. I’ve tried all the online tips and they don’t work for me.

Had my c3 for just a couple of months & have been liking it.  All of a sudden this afternoon the screen went blank.  Searched for a solution and all recommended attempts failed to resolve the issue.  Called Fitbit and after some repeat attempts at their direction, it was determined that I would need to claim a warranty replacement.  The link was sent, I responded to it and promptly received another email confirming that a replacement was being sent.  My wife's unit which was purchased at the same time continues to function w/o incident.  The warranty is good for 1 year.  Hopefully, things will go smoothly when the replacement comes.

while this may have been a solution for you....many cannot return simply because it was recieved as a gift from a relitive out of state, FitBit wouldnt give any solution simply because I had no reciept. It was a christmas gift

Did you try plugging it in to the charger than holding the power button
down till the smileyface showed up? Customer service helped me with this.
Called it a reset. It worked

I just now tried this process & it actually worked. Thank you very much for this info. It has not worked for a week and I had no idea this was the way to reset the fitbit 3. Well done.

I did not have this problem. I worked with the customer service/tech folks -
one of them didn't give me the change the clock face method - only the reset
method. The other gave me the clock face method. Neither time was the fact
that the fitbit was a gift a problem.

None of the posted fixes worked for me so I patiently tried several other options.. Here is everything else I did until achieving success:  I cleared the app's cache on my phone; tried the restart; updated the fitbit app; tried the restart; restarted my phone; tried the restart; cleared the app's cache again; tried  the restart and it finally worked!

Mine was fixed by simply changed the face style. A new face appeared. I
then changed back to my favorite face style, and no problems since. Good
luck!

I have the same problem, my display went dark today but my Fitbit charge 3 keeps on working in every way including syncing with my phone on Bluetooth.

I called Fitbit and they told me to connect it to the charger and hold the reset button on the side down for eight seconds. I did that and it reset and started working again. Doing the reset without connecting it to the charger does nothing.

Thank you for your advice. I just tried to reset with my charger 3 in the
charger for 8 seconds and something happened, now the display is working
again. Very peculiar that things like this happens. Anyway, thank you once
again for the advice.
