It seems my Charge 3 broke down last evening after some 6 days of usage. At around 22:30, when I was reading in bed, it vibrated shortly as if there was a notification. The screen stayed black though; there is no display. From that moment on the Charge 3 has been unresponsive. Screen as well as button doesn't react to touch or presses any more. The heart rate sensor is emitting light constantly (green all the time, instead of slow flicker).
Connecting it to the charger doesn't change anything: no charge indication and symptoms stay the same. So no way to reboot either.
What to do next?
I'll contact my supplier in the evening, have a busy day at work today
HR sensor on all the time...
button and screen don't react to touch or presses

Well I’ve had this issue all day today. I have had my Fitbit Charge 3 since Christmas and had no problems until I got caught in some bad rain yesterday. The Fitbit Charge 3 is supposed to be water resistant up to 50m but after mine got wet it was buffery/slow. This morning the screen was just black but the button still vibrates. I put it in rice and on charge and nothing happened. Left wondering what else I could do I changed the clock face and the screen came right back no problem!

Had my c3 for just a couple of months & have been liking it. All of a sudden this afternoon the screen went blank. Searched for a solution and all recommended attempts failed to resolve the issue. Called Fitbit and after some repeat attempts at their direction, it was determined that I would need to claim a warranty replacement. The link was sent, I responded to it and promptly received another email confirming that a replacement was being sent. My wife's unit which was purchased at the same time continues to function w/o incident. The warranty is good for 1 year. Hopefully, things will go smoothly when the replacement comes.

I just now tried this process & it actually worked. Thank you very much for this info. It has not worked for a week and I had no idea this was the way to reset the fitbit 3. Well done.

None of the posted fixes worked for me so I patiently tried several other options.. Here is everything else I did until achieving success: I cleared the app's cache on my phone; tried the restart; updated the fitbit app; tried the restart; restarted my phone; tried the restart; cleared the app's cache again; tried the restart and it finally worked!

I have the same problem, my display went dark today but my Fitbit charge 3 keeps on working in every way including syncing with my phone on Bluetooth.
