This is noticeably an ongoing problem, come up with a solution or replace everyone's fitbit that has this particular issue.   Recall the fitbit charge 3 at no cost to their clients.  Or come up with a fix. Shouldn't have to spend money again for their ongoing product failler, especially in it short life.  It would be different if it lasted 4 or so years before having issues but less then 2 years or even a couple of weeks. How is the company surviving???

I have both the charge 2 & 3 and use each one. The charge 2 mainly for exercise outdoors. While the charge 3 has additional extras I still think the charge 2 is better value.

unfortunately most electronic goods seem to have a short life span these days

Mine just died day before yesterday. I’m done with Fitbit.

I’ve got plenty of electronics in my tv race cars that are subject to way
more abuse then any Fitbit. These items are junk. They lost another
customer, I’m looking at the Apple Watch.

I've been with fitbit and preordered a fit bit when it was still in beta
testing. Now, I am leaving because of a product that can not function
properly for more than 7-10 months.

This worked for me.  Lost my daily data, so I have to make up steps.

Had my Charge 3 for 2 months - it is now dead - black screen - no wake up steps work. It had been acting a bit strange where iOS locked up after syncing several times which I could only get going by a hard reset of my iPhone.

Actually, I don't recommend going to Apple Watch. I gave my Fitbit to a family member. Later got the Apple watch. it doesn't do the useful things that Fitbit does. you have to go through loops to get your step counts, doesn't show the sleep patterns, etc. It is really more of a mini iPhone than a Fitbit. If I have to replace my apple watch, i will go back to Fitbit, because it is really a fitness focuses watch. I know there are issues with it, but the Apple watch is not really its replacement.

After my screen went black. I signed out of fitbit, waited 10 minutes,  signed back on.  It's been working perfect ever since.Carolyn Jackson Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Mine is going dead after it jumps from 1% to 100%, obviously not charged. Leaving it charge does no good as it thinks it is done. Also to anyone saying the charge 2 charges but not the 3. Different charging cords. I gave my 2 to my son which still works, but my 3 used only since last August and doing this. I am too broke to buy a new one, these are too expensive to someone disabled, but it is the only thing I can show the dr that I am not sleeping well at all (pain)

Please talk to Fitbit support; if you explain you are disabled and financially stressed perhaps they will help

I have tried all the instruction as to Chen and reset by holding side button, on charge 3, it is still blank, it will not charge since when i connect the pins it vibrates once , and by pressing on th side for 15 sec it does not show any thing on screen and after replugging back it Des not show any thing on the scree, surprisingly this was over a month noow so i decided to plug back and see if it is going to do any thing, surprising it showed the face and charge about 21 % , and suddenly now it blank again and i tries all thee same steps again and no luck so what is the setting if it is still on sleep mode is there a way to make it charge and then see the setting

I have a similar problem. A while ago, my Charge 3's screen went black. Green light underneath still. I tried holding the button on the charger but it will only do the little vibration and never restart. I gave up and switched to the Galaxy fit. Currently, I'm trying to fix my Fitbit again. I charged it a little to see if I could troubleshoot. I feel like I've tried everything. Screen is still dead with the green light underneath. I unpaired it from my phone when I switched to Samsung, but now since I charged it for a bit, a silent alarm goes off at about 5am. I can't turn them off because the tracker isn't paired to my phone and the screen is still black. Any other tips are appreciated.

If it’s under warranty ask for another.
