My charge 3 will not let me increase the brightness to a level I can see. Very dim display, unable to read. Any suggestions?

I am having the same issue. However, when I followed the steps described below, the display is still very dim. This just started about a week ago and my charge 3 was new in June!

Welcome aboard @PiaNettie.
Thanks for trying the troubleshooting steps that were shared on my previous post, I'm sorry to know that you're still experiencing difficulties with your Charge 3. Since the restart process didn't fix your display, please try our long restart process following the next steps:
I'll be here if further assistance is needed.

I have the same issue,
The display is SO dark I have to walk into a cupboard and close the door behind me to be able to JUST read the display, its at the point its not worth wearing, particularly during the day... unusable...
None of the instructions have resolved the issue...
anything else I can try?

I've done this 6 or 7 times already, even did online chat but still unable to read display.
This happened after the last update, like all of us have been saying. Instead of offering a discount on replacing devices that are less than 2 years old, why not fix the update? I've bought $5 watches from Walmart that lasted longer so have an issue with the only solution being buy another fitbit and hope an update doesn't mess it up

This is very interesting. I recently did an update on my fitbit, and the display is now very dim. As there are people all saying the same thing it seems to be the update that has done it. Have to see if they do anything to resolve or just say to people buy a new fitbit.

Well I went on the chat and the lady said did I have sleep mode turned on, I said I had no idea as I didn't know where it was. Go on clock face, slide until the sleep mode comes up. , hold it and it takes the sleep mode off and display goes bright. I said I have no idea how I put it on as i didn't know it was there.....but I now have a bright display. maybe something to try.

I am having the same problem with the extremely dim screen. I tried the long shut down. Didn't work. I looked to see if the sleep mode was on....nope! Any other ideas? This is so frustrating!!!
