My Charge 3, which is about 6 weeks old has developed a dead horizontal line about 1/5 of the way down the screen. It's like a dead pixel, but extends right across the screen and always remains black. It's not too much of a problem; info is still easy to read, but it's clearly a fault and may get worse. I intend to return it for an exchange, but am posting to let other users know about this issue.

Same here about 1/5 of the way down from the top. Mine is less than a month old.
I agree it's not a huge deal but I fear it will worsen. And with my luck as soon as the warranty is over.
I have a message into support. We shall see what they say.

Best AnswerHei
I have same problem with my Fitbit Charge 3. First dead pixels come in December and now I have more of them.
I bought my Charge 3 in October (29.10.2018).
I already tryed to restart it (like AlejandraFitbit suggested here), but nothing changed.
I've also had a dead pixel line come up on my charge 3. Never been in water as didn't want to risk it. Has there been a fix for it as the restart method hasn't done anything for me.
I’m having the same problem. I have two lines of pixels near the top of the display that haven’t been working for a few weeks. I have restarted my Fitbit and nothing changed. I bought my charge 3 at the start of October when it was first available from sport chek.

Best AnswerI am also having problems with my display, it’s gone all grainy and grey with vertical lines. I’ve reset already which did fix it for 24 hours but it’s come back again. I bought my Fitbit in October 18. I have been swimming with it.
Its ran a bit disappointing as this is my second Fitbit, the first just died after about 2 years...
Best AnswerI had 4 lines that weren’t working and more on the greyish colour. I went on the Fitbit live help chat and talked there for a while. My replacement Fitbit charge 3 is on its way. I suggest you do the same if you haven’t already. Took me about 30 minutes of my time and they were really helpful.

Best AnswerIt does sound a little strange.. I'm going to follow the advice and go on line, if that doesn't work back to the shop..
Best AnswerJust been on chat with fitbit support staff. 30 mins chat and a little bit of work and my problem is fixed. Very pleased with how they handled my case.
Best AnswerHi,
I am also having the same issue, with a black line running through the top of my screen. I have tried a restart several times and there has been no resolution. Can you advise if this could be escalated? The Fitbit was purchased late 2018 as a Christmas present, so is only 3 months old.
Best AnswerMy display was corrupted today when I took my Charge 3 off the charger.
Yesterday was the first time I ever ran the battery to nothing. When I put it on today, it had a wide vertical band on the display.
I did the reboot you recommended. I received the unit for Christmas, so about eleven weeks ago.
I have a pic I could send but this app doesn't seem to want to let me attach.
