Charge 3 display corrupted

My Charge 3, which is about 6 weeks old has developed a dead horizontal line about 1/5 of the way down the screen. It's like a dead pixel, but extends right across the screen and always remains black. It's not too much of a problem; info is still easy to read, but it's clearly a fault and may get worse. I intend to return it for an exchange, but am posting to let other users know about this issue.

Mine started doing this earlier this week. At the same time the battery started to drain super fast. Like draining in less than a day. Had to turn settings off like twisting wrist to view which were working fine before but seem to have dialed up to 100 on activation sensitivity.

Purchased by my mum for me on 04 November 2019.

Really bad as I can't afford another. Expensive if they're gonna break in 7 months.

I am now on my 3rd. And its doing the same. I am going to save for an apple watch. I can't be having a poor quality piece of junk replaced every few months.

Oh that doesn't sound good. I know there are lots more expensive watches but this wasn't cheap and shouldn't be doing this after only 7 months. Hope their support will help somehow.

unbelievable that they continue to be allowed to sell this defective device at such a high cost

they will once and then you are stuck with no recourse!!  New buyers should think twice and decide not too throw away their hard earned dollars

If it is still in warranty Fitbit will replace it. See if they will replace
with new instead of refurbished. Just be aware that the warranty doesn't
reset. It will continue from last November. Good luck

You were far more patient than I was. I wouldn't do a second one. I went
down to the Inspire line - less expensive. If this one goes bad, I am
probably done with the brand. I may wait to see if Google owning them now
makes a difference.

I agree, when I voiced my concerns I was offered a 25 % discount for a new replacement @ $74.95, but only for a FBCharge 3 !! The 25% was also for any current product other than the Charge 4 !!

The sensors are all messed up too. I've had to double check on other apps as its saying my resting heart rate is 160+ all the time. Scared the cr4p out of me.

You would likely be ahead to try calling directly to customer care vs this platform.

Cheers and stay safe!

Yes I agree, but until they do I believe they should warranty each new unit from its beginning, not from the original purchase date !!
It's as if the **ahem** thing is a disposable one time use product !!

I have also done the reboot (8 second hold until the smiley face appears) and the line in my display is still there.  This was a replacement for my last one that had the same issue.  😢
