Charge 3 display corrupted

My Charge 3, which is about 6 weeks old has developed a dead horizontal line about 1/5 of the way down the screen. It's like a dead pixel, but extends right across the screen and always remains black. It's not too much of a problem; info is still easy to read, but it's clearly a fault and may get worse. I intend to return it for an exchange, but am posting to let other users know about this issue.

Ditto - took my complaints down too 😉

You can complain but not too much, too vigorously or in a threatening tone.

Complain directly to customer support. They know there are issues.

Yes, very disappointing !!
A major company should stand behind their product that clearly has issues !!
I understand that stuff happens, but wow they cant get it right !!

Sorry to hear that. If there is any question about whether to stay with the
company, that would settle it for me.

I’m also having the same problem, with a pixelated screen, now that I think i have reset it the screen has gone blank and won’t respond. It is vibrating when I try reset it again but nothing showing on the screen!

You will have to contact customer service. If it is still in warranty they
will replace it. If not then they may give you a discount on a new unit.
Good luck.

Your reset caused the screen brightness to go to normal (which is too dim on units with screen issues). You will need to navigate to settings to make it bright. I had this happen 3 times! Very annoying!!

I still have a screen which is too dim to be seen about 90 % of the time outside, but it did help.

Cheers and stay safe!

What about freedom of speech, we should make a page on FB to complain....

My wife's Charge 3 screen suddenly had many lines through it and almost unreadable.  Random vibration also.  Tried reset per instructions, smiley face came on, I unplugged and smiley face remains with unit still randomly vibrating.  This has happened with a previous Charge 3 and it was replaced.  The unit seems to be corrupted.

I don't know that there is a way to erase and reset. Perhaps a different
line. I have had better luck with my inspire that my charge 3.

there isn't it's a manufacturer default and fitbit won't take responsibility

Sounds about right. You will have to decide whether you want to try a
different line. I went down to Inspire, and it has been fine. If this does,
I will have to rethink altogether
