Charge 3 display corrupted

My Charge 3, which is about 6 weeks old has developed a dead horizontal line about 1/5 of the way down the screen. It's like a dead pixel, but extends right across the screen and always remains black. It's not too much of a problem; info is still easy to read, but it's clearly a fault and may get worse. I intend to return it for an exchange, but am posting to let other users know about this issue.

I have tried all the recommended steps on my charge 3 but the screen won't come on. I had the same problem some months ago and after following the 8 second rules it came on. Now I have tried everything and the screen is still dead! What should I do?

Didn’t work for me and also losing Bluetooth connection at least 10 times a day not impressed with fitbits at all will not buy another one

If it's still under the 1 year warranty call Customer Service for a replacement !! If out of warranty they may offer a discount on a new item purchase !!!
If that doesnt apply then your screwed, like me !!!

This is a fatal error !!
Mine (all 3) have eventually failed after this beginning within 17 months & now that it's out of original 1 year warranty you may be offered a discount on the purchase of some other Fitbit product !!!

It depends on if it is still in warranty or not. Your options are fairly
limited. You let them replace it(probably with a refurbished unit), accept
a discount on a replacement, or cut your losses. Replacement does not
activate a new warranty - it just continues whatever is left on the
existing one. Good luck

I went to the Inspire line and have had better luck. I wasn't willing to
spend more on a different unit that might do the same thing.

Thanks for your response it is out of warranty but I have taken out the
insurance.only problem with this is I will get a replacement. Reading the
issues it’s only going to happen again.

I have attempted to do this too, with no success. My display actually seems to be getting much, much worse than just the line now, as well. The display on my Charge 3 Special Edition is glitching pretty seriously now.

My screen is so scramble and corrupted that I cannot read it at all. I've tried to restart it several times, for several days as suggested on previous posts. However, it has not worked or corrected the problem. I'm wondering what do I do next?

I contacted fitbit, and they replaced the unit. Very good customer service experience.

Just for the record...I keep having the same problems I am reading about here.  It starts with one black line across the screen then goes to 2 then 4 and so on.  I am on my 5th charge 3 and I again am having the same problem.  Eventually the whole screen will go black (that happened on my last one!) and you will not be able to see anything on the device itself.  The app will still work though.  This is by far the worst model!!!
