Fitbit Charge 3 display not working, why? It was at 95 % charge

There seems to be a common problem where the display on the Charge 3 stops working. Some people (including me) have found that restarting fixes this:
I've also seen other posts where changing the clockface from the app can bring the display back.

Hey @bbneo, welcome to the Community and @Gizmo_Bobo I appreciate your participation.
@Gizmo_Bobo, as mentioned previously, your case has been escalated to our support team. Please be aware of your inbox for further assistance.
@bbneo, if your tracker's display isn't turning on, you can try to change your clock face by following the instructions provide in the help article How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?.
I hope this helps, let me know the outcome.

Changing the display did work for me... this time. This is really annoying. I have gone back and forth with you all 4 times already and the first 3 units were bricked for some unknown reason.
It was a big mistake for you to release this device without some way to hard reset it by an external connection such as the USB cord...

I had the same issue with my Charge 3. I followed the clock face reset instructions and it worked; however, I am concerned about this glitch since my watch is barely 4 months old. Is Fitbit working on a software fix for this?

Since doing the clock face change fix several months ago, I have had no further problems...
But... I did have 3 Charge3's starting in October that bricked themselves... That was very frustrating.
And... I wish that I could shut off alarms (not just snooze) them on the Charge3.
Losing faith in the current generation of technologies... Don't like being a beta tester.

2nd fit bit down ... This one is 100 percent unfixable .... Why?
New FitBit watch went down ... It is 100 percent not bootable ... This product is a harrassing nut.

I went to bed at 9 pm last night, Fitbit was working normal. Woke up this morning and no display but it was working because my alarms were going off. Thank goodness or the kids would have been late to school. Looks like I have an update, so trying that first to see if it fixes the problem. Just want it noted on a forum, so I have documentation. I receive the Fitbit 3 as a gift for Christmas so it is only 4 months old.

My charge 3 stops working. Tried using pin to reset, does not work. The device is burning hot but does not turn on. Had it for only a few months. Whats your warranty policy????

My Charge 3's screen is glitching then goes completely black. I've tried the hard reset several times as well as changing the clock face. Nothing is working ☹️
